The staff were good and did a lot for us, loction was amazing.
Unfortunatley, in the room we booked originally (the one I'm reviewing for) the air con didn't work. It turned on and you could control it, but it didnt cool the room at all, it was just like a fan. And that room was probbaly 8-10 deg hotter than outside, so we couldn't stay there. Luckily the staff upgraded us to a different room where the A/C did work, but it was just a bit of a pain overall to deal with that.

Very nice apartment in the heart of Valletta. Clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Everything was well organized, and the stay was very pleasant. Highly recommended!
The only minor thing I missed was having slippers available in the apartment. Other than that, everything was great!

Fantastic location, great bars nearby, stunning views to three cities, friendly staff with the quick response.
A bit noisy when the crowd was gathering outside for the views and fireworks.

Best location in Valetta, just below Upper Barrakka; in the city, close to bus terminal and parking; view over the harbor.
Super friendly host, got early checkin. The apartment was very clean, large space, great bed, and surprisingly (for the location) very quiet at night.

The location was good
WHen we arrived there was no one there and you have to call to get someone to get your the keys. The person who came as very surly. She also gave us terrible instructions about how to get the car to the front of our apartment (we had a room that was a self catering apartment and it was a few streets away from where you check in). It is very confusing to drive because of narrow one way streets.
On top of that, the room was the opposite of cozy. The room was kind of sparse and the lighting was ugly. There was a smooshed bug against the wall. There was a horrible bright green light that was distracting at night when you are trying to sleep. The towel rack and wall rack that the microwave sat on top of, did not look stable and looked like they might fall down.
And the shower did not drain well. We had to stop the water every once in awhile during our showers to prevent the water from overflowing.
This was described as "boutique." This was not boutique by any means.

Disappointing
The walk in shower was quite good and there was plenty of hot water but the small window looks out onto a car park and everyone can see in!! There should have been privacy glass!! The towels were clean and plentiful and generally speaking the bathroom was clean. The studio was close enough to most of the attractions but you had to climb a lot of steps to get into the centre. Valletta is not that big so I think you could stay anywhere in the old town and you would be close to the attractions.
The studio is mis-represented by the silly photographs which give a totally false impression!! We thought we were booking the other main apartment which at least has a large window!! There is a car park beside the studio apartment and NO privacy glass. In fact the room is quite dark as there only is ONE window in the door and that's it! The cooking facilities are pathetic with minimal cheap utensils. The small double bed was extremely uncomfortable with NO mattress cover just a sheet and a very washed out quilt. The wardrobe had only 4 hangars and was also quite useless if staying a week as we were. The floor was tiled but would have benefited from a rug. The fridge was noisy when trying to sleep.
If you were only staying a few days these things may not matter however we stayed a week and as stated the studio is mis-represented by the photographs provided and is simply NOT worth what they are asking! There is zero atmosphere considering the location - it's just a thoughtlessly decorated room done on the cheap!! The immediate view is of cars (and vans) parked immediately beside the studio which if it was a van you will see nothing - assuming you want everyone staring in at you in the first place!!

Near most sightseeing in Valletta. Quiet area
I've travelled my share and have stayed at places with reviews over 8. This one disappointed me. The room had dust and hair everywhere, which makes me think if anything else was not clean or dirty but not visible. The shower clogged when showering. So you have to wait till its empty before you can let the water run again.

The location. It's in a quite area.
The host was very responsive and prompt.
The wifi router was broken and I did not had wireless internet but the host was kind enough to raise this issue to the Internet provider and they come and fixed it.
The room temperature was quite low. I needed to sleep with the AC on set on heat in order to have a proper temperature but a downside was the noise it made. The first night especially I had trouble sleeping.
The shower drain was a bit clogged.

The apartment is in a fantastic location (right on the harbour wall above the Victoria Gate), it has all the things you'd need for self-catering, very fast WiFi, a comfortable bed and a great shower. What made our stay special was the kindness and hospitality of our hosts, from Jonathan who picked us up and took us back to the airport, Cinzia who was always quick to respond to queries, Louise who kept us supplied with towels and Beppe at the Luciano Al Porto Hotel (which manages the flat), who was always happy to chat and serve amazing food and drinks. We asked for an additional table to work on and they brought it specially, with no problems.
Especially useful: some of the power sockets are dual UK/EU (Schuko) sockets.
All in all, truly excellent!
This is not something we didn't like, but might be useful for other visitors to know. The other side of being "right on the harbour wall" is just that. Passers-by can see in through the windows and we had to keep the bathroom shutter closed to ensure privacy.
