Wonderful
Luciano Al Porto could not have been better located. The hotel is in the heart of the city, with all the perks of it. The view from the bedroom is incredible, the room is comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff is super friendly! Special mention to the fact that my flight was delayed and the taxi organized by the hotel was waiting for me, which was super nice! besides being the nicest tour guide one could’ve hoped for.
I would definitely stay here again.
Bathroom could have a bit better lighting and shower area could be a more comfortable (with a bigger space to move around).

Location and hotel design
There was a persistent noise disturbance coming from the neighboring restaurant throughout the stay. In addition, the bathroom shower door was broken and missing, causing water to splash across the entire bathroom floor after every shower, which was both inconvenient

We were welcomed by Beppe early in the day. Our luggage was stored. Had an excellent beverage. And completely enjoyed Valletta from our hotel was so convenient.
We left early in the morning and had to carry our luggage down the stairs from the third floor.

Wonderful
The location was perfect, the sea views were stunning, the high ceiling room was beautifully decorated, with a nice sea and street view. The breakfast was very good and in another more central restaurant, which was great for us, besides the 82 stairs we had to climb upstairs.
The management of the hotel was somewhat invisible and rather unusual but we hadn't have any problems with that. Also it is a bit overpriced concerning the distant breakfast location and not always present staff.

Rather old, limited soaps and cosmetics such as body lotion. No area to sit and relax in room. No area to sit in morning either. Breakfast was great but in a sister hotel two streets up steep stairs.

Amazing grand harbour view from balcony , very good breakfast , restaurant with courteous staff , Hotel Manager Cinzia and ground transfer driver Jonathan were very responsive via Whatsapp communication. Location is very central in Valetta with convenient access to all means of transportation and amenities . Room well decorated and clean .
Throughout our 4 days 3 nights stay , room 332 was with unpleasant smell of stale oil fume from the restaurant on ground floor , bathroom floor trap emits stale smell too . We bought air freshener spray however did not help . Hotel was without reception and porter . Need to carry heavy luggage up and down to catch the elevator on first floor.

Location
Just about everything. Super small, cramped room. Makeshift bathroom. I'm a small person, and I could barely get into the shower. No reception area. Overpriced, considering it's really not a hotel. Its more just rooms on top of a restaurant. Did not like the fact that I had to walk about a block to the breakfast area which was really a restaurant. Choices were very limited. Staff were moody. We didn't even bother going the next day.Had breakfast elsewhere. If you plan on staying on a Friday night be aware that there is a jazz band that plays till midnight. The location was about the only thing good. The views were pretty beautiful from the room.

Lovely hotel, perfect blend of the old, and new, with an outstanding view of The Grand Harbour. The check in can throw some people, as you have to walk into the connected restaurant, and someone checks you in more Air B&B style, but you'll be in super quick.

It was a very pleasant hotel with a good location close to the centre of Valletta. The staff were very friendly, The room was clean.
The bet covers felt a little cheap for the level of hotel, they were clean and fresh just could have nee a little more plush

Location and the view !!
Breakfast !?
Dirty coffee cups including dried leftover coffee , hair and dust in the cups ?.
Uncleaned toilette , almost completely empty soap dispenser .
No hot water after arrival for 2 nights :-(
We have reported above , they did fix the issues …after 2 nights of waiting !
But it seemed like even we were not upset or outraged they couldn’t care less !!
We do travel a lot and we understand , that people are overworked and under appreciated ! However , we never felt that they just couldn’t care less giving us a room in this condition :-(
We didn’t get hysterical even upset ! We kind of felt extremely sad for the people who work there!!! We found ourself feeling empathetic to those who can’t take pride in their work and visible burnt out .
If you can’t overlook these above …please pick another place , I know we will .

The Luciano Al Porto Boutique Accommodations is a highly eccentric but charming hotel located half way up the steep side of the Valletta peninsula at the top of the Victoria Steps. It deserves more than its one official star, as it provides all the mod cons and more, just not in the way that you expect. I adored my huge room with its four giant windows and view of the Grand Harbour -- even the church bell-tower only a few yards away! Enjoyed many a tasty meal in the ground floor restaurant, the wifi is fine, and the staff is adorable.
This hotel was a last-minute replacement for another that canceled unexpectedly and I had to pay through the nose. It was a shock to find out that breakfast was served in a partner branch "a five minute walk away" -- 160-odd steps up the hillside! However that breakfast was excellent, and the morning walk was healthy in good weather; people in Valletta have to take steps for granted -- they're on the route to everything.

Excellent view. Private patio. Only room 4th floor. Breakfast & restaurant great. Would return. Nice location.
Not sure. Staff very friendly & welcoming. Room service everyday. No negatives. Not 5* fancy but nice local atmosphere.
