Cocktail bar with zodiac signs was interesting, good gym, clean facilities
Usual hotel, nothing luxurious or higher-level, especially for €460/night in August.
Even at breakfast, nothing really stands out — no avocado, no fresh berries. As for fresh vegetables (I need around 80g per meal), I found only cucumber, and on some days there were carrots at the kids’ table. That’s it!
After 19:00, there’s basically nothing to do. The pools are closed, and the gaming room (which is very poorly equipped — see photos) is open only until 18:00.
A funny thing: we were looking for the gaming room. At reception, the staff sent us to another part of the hotel. At Oceana restaurant, the staff said it was outside near the main entrance. In the Neba yard, a staff member said they had never seen it, but if we found it, we should let them know ? Funny.
There are also no shows or animations, so basically nothing to do after 19:00.
There’s no personal customer care either. We received a WhatsApp message once, and when I replied with three questions, I got what looked like a ChatGPT-generated response telling me to “ask the reception.”
But considering our experience looking for the gaming room — walking through all the floors like idiots and being redirected several times in completely opposite directions — we surely didn’t take “ask the reception” seriously.

Loved the pretty room and the view, some staff were very helpful especially Mark Scicluna who helped us get a last min rental on our last day, someone needs to give him a raise!
I used to live here for 3 months back in 2002, and I booked this place because it was so wonderful when I did. Good location, nice restaurants, nice pools, work out center and peaceful at night.
One receptioist made us miss our event, Blue Lagoon day cruise that we weren't refunded for.. We woke up early for this and then was told there are no taxis at 8am to take us to Melieha, and that it would take 2hours to get there! He didn't even try to help us, this ruined our engagement celebration and I cried so hard. Later on when we talked to someone else they said what he said was absurd, especially 2 hrs to get to Melieha and no taxis to take us at 8am on a Sunday was a lie.
We ended up getting the car rental around noon but after our ship had already set sail. :(
We were also misguided by a receptionist lady which caused us to get lost looking for a currency exchange.. She was very rude to us when we returned hot and sweating asking why the place wasn't there and asking where to go..., which really upset us as well. Not even a sorry or where we could go, we had to figure it out alone! All we wanted to do was pay for our room.
During the day when I tried to nap, staff were moving things above us on the 7th floor being very loud...so I couldn't nap making my jet lag worse. We said something about it at the reception and no one did anything about it, just "yea we know about it." This really hurt our vacation.
Kids jumping into the cold hot tub wasn't enjoyable either, place is started to remind me of a theam park vs a luxury resort. I said something about it and the staff at the pool drink stand just laughed and said sorry.
A peice of the shower broke off while I was in the shower, I fixed it....but seriously ? I could have slipped on it and gotten hurt.
The bath robe was too small for me to wear which was a bit upsetting and cheapy made, not the nice ones they used to give out to use.
Quality, respect and standards is EVERYTHING when staying at a Hilton and I've stayed in many Hiltons.

The Hilton Malta exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and located in the perfect spot in St. Julian’s with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the marina. The pools were fantastic, the breakfast had an excellent variety, and the staff were professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered everything I needed for a relaxing vacation.
There was very little to dislike. The hotel can get busy during peak hours, but it did not take away from the overall experience.
