Spacious rooms with good housekeeping. Breakfast was tasty. Beautiful decor.
No balcony on the top floor and no where to lounge indoors outside of your room ( except reception)

Quiet Room with individual AC. Pool area is lovely to have a quiet drink. Location is good away from crowds but very walkable.
Very damp in room with musty smelling pillows and bed linen. I believe we were in an accessible room, so rainshower head was unusable as water would go everywhere. It went everywhere even with other shower head and water collected in shower area.
Replacement towels were grey and towels never dried properly.
I understand it's difficult to keep moisture out in winter in these limestone homes, but the smells and dampness in the room made it a bit uncomfortable.
I did not encounter these damp issues when I stayed here in late May 2023.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendlyl. We had originally booked an AirBnb, but due to no air conditioning, had to book here at the last minute! Comfortable room!
I did not like the breakfast. I thought the quality of the food should be better for the price we paid. Coffee machine needs to be updated!

Diego, who checked us in and out. He was friendly and helpful.. Our room was also clean, the cleaning staff was great.
The weekend receptionist was unhelpful and not available. This hotel listed parking as an amenity...that's a bit of a joke. It was €11 a day. The parking basement was scary, poorly lit, and almost impossible to navigate.
We were expecting a characterful small boutique hotel, and were disappointed.

We highly recommend staying in Sliema , and if you do this is the place you want to be. Walkable to downtown and far enough away from all the noise / music downtown. Shower was perfect and bed was very comfortable. The hotel has so much character and charm.
My only advice would be to add a door to the shower so the water doesn’t run out into the rest of the bathroom

Our whole experience at Palazzo Violetta was the best! The very first person we encountered was Diego. Diego got us all checked in and shared lots of info about Malta helping to culminate the best experience possible on Malta. The hotel itself was very accommodating and had all the things we would need there for our stay. The rest of the staff was just as friendly again giving us the best experience.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

I stayed in the annex. There was a group of us that were staying in both the main building and the annex. Very quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was very good. I got to enjoy the pool for a bit on the last day of my stay.

The Hotel was good value and the room was comfortable. It was a plus to have a pool, though too cold to swim in it was nice to sunbathe by. It was close to bus stops which made getting into Valetta easy
Nothing really, though some people might find it's position on a hill difficult. For us it kept us fit walking into Sliema.
