Good
The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay, which made a really positive difference. Breakfast was also good, with a nice variety of options to choose from. The rooftop pool is a lovely place to relax, especially after spending the day exploring Malta.
From the photos, I initially assumed that the hotel was directly connected to the beach/beach club, but this is not actually the case. The hotel and 1926 La Plage are in separate locations. You need to walk around five minutes and cross the main road to get there. To be fair, this was partly my mistake as I didn't read the description carefully enough when booking, but I think the photos can give the impression that the beach facilities are part of the same property.
We were also told that we had been upgraded, which we appreciated. However, even the upgraded room felt quite small, so it made us wonder how much smaller our originally booked room would have been.
Unfortunately, on our last night there was also a water issue that lasted for several hours. The hotel explained that this was an issue affecting the whole area and not something within their control, which we completely understand. Still, it was very unfortunate timing, we arrived back around midnight, sweaty and tired after walking around, and weren't able to shower. It definitely put a bit of a damper on our final night.

Poor
Maybe it’s location
Room doesn’t look anything like pictures
Previous comments described it as a luxury hotel, it’s a very below average city hotel.
Shower cabin doors weren’t closing well, causing continuous drowning of toilet.
Strict 3pm check in policy, so if u arrive after a long flight don’t wait for warm hospitality

Hotel was beautiful and beach club was very nice. Breakfast was great!
Beach club was a walk from hotel and you had to make reservations for the rooftop pool.

The location was also ideal, making it easy to visit many of Malta's attractions while still enjoying a peaceful and comfortable stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, and clean. Breakfast was very good. Thank you to the entire team at 1926 Le Soleil Hotel & Spa for making our holiday so memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8-night stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta.
The process of obtaining an access code via the app turned out to be quite confusing.

Pleasant
Staff were wonderful - some of the friendliest we've ever come across anywhere in the world.
Location is excellent - a just 5 minute walk from the Valetta ferry.
Hotel was clean.
Beach bar was good, although you need to get there early to guarantee a bed with shade.
The walls are paper thin which ruined our sleep. We were able to hear everything next door - every toilet flush, every step, if they moved on their bed then the wall shook and so did our bed. Also, despite being in a room at the end of the corridor we were woken multiple times per night by noise from outside the room the corridor as it just echoed. Neither of us are light sleepers and we've never had issues like this in a hotel before.
The roof top pool was a disappointment. At 80cm depth, you cannot swim and the booking system for a bed next to the pool makes it a real pain to actually get a place there. You need to book days in advance to get a slot for just a few hours. When we did go, most of the beds were empty, despite being fully booked so it was clear that people book them and don't bother turning up. A better system is needed.
Breakfast was okay but needed more variation. It's fairly basic, mass produced, low quality food that's identical every day so after a few days we were bored of it.
Wouldn't recommend the hotel purely due to the thin walls and resultant poor sleep.

Very Good
it was a beautiful location with a beautiful pool that was a two minute walk down the street or you could go to the pool on the rooftop.
I liked everything.

Disappointing
Good location, and friendly staff.
Hotel felt pretty run down, and our terrace suite just felt like a big room rather than anything special.
You have to book in advance to use the loungers on the rooftop pool, or otherwise go to the beach club, which again is not quite like the photos, feels run down.

Wonderful
Nice hotel in the centre of sliema, location is really good. Staff are wonderful. I was looking at guys at reception handle so many requests at the same time with a lot of grace and patience. It was quiet enough for me and im a light sleeper.
Rooms are simple and in some cases not practically done. Especially the bathroom. Cleanliness is average. Balconies are small, breakfast is boring if you are there for more than 2 days.

Breakfast was OK.
Most of the staff was great.
One of the restaurant waiters and cleaning staff, rude and unhelpful.
Room build quality was quite poor. Every time another room door was closed the entire walls in our room would shake and the noise was very loud and disturbing.
Also the hotel app needs to be more user friendly

Loved the staff and the location. Pool nice, but needs updating. Pool and restaurant by the sea really lovely setting for swim, drinks, dinner. Music by the seaside pool is fantastic, yet not too loud.
Rooftop swimming pool definitely needs some updating. Still a wonderful place to be with cozy chairs, warm water & stunning views.

Very Good
The staff throughout the stay, and at every level were wonderful, very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean, comfortable, a couple of minor queries were quickly resolved.
Breakfast is buffet style, but with a good choice.
The beach club is an excellent facility, and very convenient. But I imagine might get very busy in peak holiday time (we visited in May).
It was slightly frustrating that throughout our entire stay, it was not possible to book sunbeds on the roof terrace. There are only 14, and I'd advise booking as soon as you can when you arrive.
The spa facilities on the first floor are OK, but quite small and limited, and I imagine in peak season would quickly fill up.
The Michelin star restaurant on the 11th floor has excellent staff, and the setting and food are very, very good. However I thought that it was quite expensive (even for a Muchelin star establishment) given the relatively low cost of food and drink elsewhere on the island.
