Good location and comfortable bed. They offered a shuttle to the airport which was great.
Very tiny bathroom with an awkward sink. Poor breakfast that didn’t offer much other than burnt croissants and questionable cold sausages.

At first I thought that the location was horrible because it was in the middle of a construction zone and the taxi couldn't even find a way to get there. But much of that sorted itself out while I was there once the roads were repaved. The lodge is just a few minutes walk from the fishing harbor, which is why most people go to Marsaxlokk to begin with. There are several good restaurants along the harbor.
If you are planning to use Marsaxlokk as a base for visiting Valletta, as I was, it is not a good location. Too much time is spent on buses going back and forth, a journey that can take up to two hours depending upon what is happening traffic-wise in Valletta. Valletta is a wonderful city, so if that is your destination, do yourself a favor and stay there.
At first I was disappointed with the breakfast due to the absence of eggs but, in retrospect, after 12 days of protein deprivation in Italy, the breakfast at the Harbour Lodge was pretty good.
My primary complaint is the tiny sink and the very claustrophobic shower in the bathroom. The sink was the smallest I've ever seen, making it impossible to keep the bathroom floor dry.

This hotel is shabby, and needs urgent renovation. To add to that, it is not clean. The sheets in our room had long hair on them, indicating they were NOT replaced!!! The walls are dirty, the table almost falling apart, the mattresses are very very uncomfortable, and you can feel the springs inside them very well. The bathroom is tiny with a tiny sink, and the shower itself is very small, you can barely move in it.
I was weary after reading reviews about the breakfast, but it turned out to be OK, as far as the selection goes. The plates were Dirty. Really dirty. How can they hand them over to the guests like this???
This was a really bad experience.

The location of the property is perfect,. just a 2 minute walk to the harbour. The breakfast area is clean and bright. The room was also clean and bright. Entrance cards mean you can come and go as you like. The transfers to and from the airport were great. There was good choice at breakfast and always plenty.
It was a little awkward to get 2 key cards, it would be great to be offered these as a norm. The shower was not good, at times it was almost a dribble and the temperature varied. The hairdryer did not work and there were two ceiling lights not working. A small table on the balcony would have been helpful for sitting and having a drink. Part of the breakfast was sausage and beans which were inexplicably served cold! which was awful. Also some of the croissants were rather stale.

Complimentary pick up driver from the airport was lovely to have after a very long flight.
Location was very convenient, just around the corner up a side street from beautiful harbour and near local bus stop.
Staff were friendly and made sure you had what you needed.
Breakfast was plentiful.
I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou

Location was great, just a couple of hundred metres from the seafront and close to a couple of small shops and bus stops (for the excellent public bus service). Room was quite small and basic but comfortable enough and staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast also quite basic but an unexpected bonus as we hadn't expected it to be included at all. Pickup and drop off to the airport being included was a useful touch.
Wi-fi a bit intermittent. Couple of very minor problems (that we didn't bother the staff with and perhaps could have got resolved) eg the sink plug did not seal, the couple of times we tried the TV could not get anything except local stations.
It was absolutely NOT their fault it was very noisy with roadworks just down the road and building work going on in the building opposite, though it did make use of the terrace less inviting!

Staff was really nice and helpful. We took the transfer they offer from airport to hotel at 10pm which was a huge advantage for us. Location to explore Marsaxlokk and to get to bus station is perfect. We could also leave our luggage last day after check out and picked it up in the afternoon.
There was a huge mold stain on the ceiling. Sink in the bathroom is very, very small.

Fantastic location, lovely balcony, Patrick was fantastic
Uncomfortable bed with old pillows, bathroom wasn’t that clean, basic breakfast without many options, very noisy due to road works so no problem of the hotel. We waited around half an hour to check in as there was nobody manning reception. On our last night, there was a big black out that wasn’t sorted out for half an hour or an hour. Wifi only worked sometimes. Smelled in the room a bit.
