Spacious apartment. Fabulous balcony. Very friendly and helpful host. Natalya was delightful and checked on me regularly, but without being intrusive. She addressed any concerns immediately (new fridge!) and we had great conversations.Location was perfect, peaceful and quiet which is what I wanted. But supermarket and bus stop just round the corner.
Beautiful promenade walk down to beach and restaurants.
Apartment doesn't have kerb appeal. I was a little disappointed when I first saw it, but the lovely apartment on third floor more than made up for it.
Very small and slow lift, but it gets you there!
Lovely big balcony, but outside furniture a bit tired.
None of these things detracted from my stay, I had a great time in a lovely Penthouse!

Spacious place in a good location by the sea, with large tarrace. 2 mins to beach, bus stop and grocery.
Demaged one od the beds and the couch, as well the sofa on the terrace. As I have already read in the coments od previous guests. The owner as I presume does not think it is necessary to fix this.
A small number of kitchen utensils and basic necessities duch as soap, toilet paper or dishwashing liquid.

The owner of the apartment was great! We felt very welcome, we checked the whole apartment upon arrival, she told us where the closest shop and beach was, showed us how to use the a/c and made sure that we would be comfortable.
The beach is 3 minutes away, town centre is just a 15 minute nice walk along the shore. We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back on Malta, we would love to stay here again.

Very spacious apartment with a nice balcony/terrace. Talkative and friendly host. There is some beach equipment to use.
There are some furniture that requires refurbishment or replacement. It concerns lamps in bathrooms, beds and couches.

Superb location. Light and airy and brill large terrace. Easy to contact owner. Sea views were excellent. Walk round the corner to get to marvellous walk along the sea front.

Very nice and comfortable property for our 3 day stay. Theres a lift to the penthouse and parking was free and easy to find on the street. Bedrooms are air conditioned for an additional charge, which given the energy crisis is a good thing. 10 euros was more than enough for our 3 day stay. Apartment was roomy with a lovely shower, and the balcony was a great space too.
The host seemed harassed on my arrival and I dont think she liked the look of me, but I found her likable enough and she left us alone for our stay which was great. The host stated a number of times that she would refund the unused air conditioning money, but as I expected there was no refund or offer of one. I think the host should just say unused credits are non refundable and leave it at that.
There is a bizarre notice on the toilet wall and in the list of rules asking that no toilet paper is be flushed down the toilet, but there were no waste bags or suitable places to dispose of used toilet paper in the bathrooms. I feel the host should remove the sign or let people know of this rule before staying, as I would not willingly stay in a place with that rule.

The location was good. The beach was just a quick walk. However note that some days there are lots of trash in the water + jellyfish.
The apartment itself is quite big with 2 separate bathrooms and balconies.
The centre of Marsaskala is a 15 minutes walk and there are 2 small shops two streets from the building.
The building has a super slow but efficient elevator.
The payment didn't go through booking but by card on spot and the amount was 10 euros more than agreed on booking.
The owner made a deal for us to not pay the deposit (which is against breaking anything) if we clean the apartment when we leave. My family has always left apartments in clean condition for the cleaners to deep clean them but never has any owner asked us to actually clean it for next quests (for free). Since the apartment was not very clean, we actually ended up spending our valuable vacation time to clean it twice - arrival and leave.
The furniture is so old that one of the quest hurt his back when the bed collapsed during the night. Also some of kitchen utensils are broken before you start using them (including the stove).
The air conditions are only in bedrooms and the living room/kitchen area is unbearably hot during the day.
The thing with air conditions is that you have to buy a card for certain amount to use it. The owner will not recommend any number of how much you would need. So we first bought a 10 euros card, then 5 euros and 1 night before our leave the only option from the owner was to buy a 20 euros card. Since she promised us a refund we thought it's better than sleep and sweat. The amount you get for 20 euros is 105 units. We used less than half of it and with a weird math formulas the owner tried to say there was only couple of euros to refund and she will do it next time we will be in Malta which is NOT how normally refunds work.
We do not care about the money but the fact that we left the apartment way cleaner than it was in the beginning and a little gift from Estonia to say thank you for our stay and in return we didn't get a single good word nor our refund. I can only be happy we didn't pay the 200 euros deposit to get it back next time visiting Malta!
I have visited many airbnb and booking apartments and never met a host like that.
