Lovely! Very good room, great dinner, awesome breakfast, great staff. A lot of special artifacts all over the property.

Rooms are great although we were supposed to have a view of the mountains but we looked out at the parking.
We got massages and, while most treatments on the spa menu were not available, the massages were really good.
Housekeeping was strange. They would throw away our used toothbrushes and shower but not replace them.
They also have only two restaurants, not four as listed on the website. The website needs to be updated.

Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel has great views of the river and mountains.
Overall the food at the hotel was alright, but the waiters were quite lazy and not proficient at their jobs. They always acted as if they didn't want us to eat outside in the balcony even though it was past 10 am and that area was supposed to be open. It took quite a bit of convincing for them to let us take our breakfast outside. On top of that, we didn't get some of the items we crossed off on the breakfast ordering menu on several occasions, but I guess that is more the fault of the chef. Also, one time we found plastic wraps in our Khuushuur which was just unacceptable.
The views from the hotel are great, but the hotel itself is not in good condition. You can definitely tell it is an old hotel. Most of their facilities have aged quite a bit. Many stuff and items in the hotel were either broken or of poor quality. For example, AC in our room was broken and it got pretty hot in our room during day time. Also, the water pressure in the toilet is bad and the toilet seems to clog very easily.

We arranged for one of the hotel's drivers to take us from Ulaanbaatar city out to the hotel. As a group of 4 this represented pretty decent value for money.
All of the staff were incredibly helpful, kind and polite. Only a few members of staff did not speak English and they still made every effort to be helpful. We asked to reschedule a trip to Turtle rock/Aryapala temple and the receptionist was very obliging in arranging for a different time.
Gym and pool are beautiful and overlooking the river. A few members of our party went for massages and had nothing but positives to say.
Great breakfast, it is not a buffet but is tailored to your order. The concierge recommended a brilliant hiking route starting immediately from the front door of the Hotel. Would highly recommend if you feel like a few nights of luxury in the Mongolian countryside.
