Wonderful
A very authentic experience, with typical Mongolian food and a real traditional ger. The manager was very helpful in setting up activities and transportation and speaks good English. We especially enjoyed the home visit and the Eagle.
Beds are pretty hard—I was glad I had a camping mattress with me. Showers were hot but low pressure. It’s not a luxury resort but it was wonderfully relaxing.

Poor
Price equivalent to 4* hotel in UB but minimal facilities: no kettle, toiletries, tissues. Ger has traditional central fireplace but staff will not provide logs to keep it heated, rather they send a stoker at intervals but this means having staff coming to the room late at night and early in morning and prevents the guest from choosing the temperature in their own ger. The top of the ger is transparent meaning the light streams in as soon as day breaks.
The horse riding is actually horse walking since the horses are tethered the whole time to the guide's horse and never proceed above a walk. Horses are clearly very tired and show signs of not being well looked after. Guide is totally uninterested and spends the time playing music on his phone. At USD20 pp it is a disgrace. This is significant money to a local family and it is inexcusable that the horses are not well looked after.
Food very basic in choice and availability yet costs the same as a top restaurant in UB facturing in the small portions served. Remember this camp is not in the remoteness of the steppe but in a very touristic area close to the capital. This is not an authentic experience but a confidence trick for tourists.

Wonderful
Very nice staff, comfortable yurt, nice restaurant, good vfm. We went for a horse ride arranged by the host, and to see the Genghis Khan statue. We were worried beforehand that it might be a bit “tough”, but it’s very comfortable, good WiFi, instant coffee. Food is Mongolian and very good.
Not as isolated as we’d expected.

The Ger Camp was situated in the national park and was small and very friendly. The family who run it were so helpful and lovely. The food was home cooked which was what we loved, hearty Mongolian soups and stews.
The facilities were spotlessly clean, and the showers were hot and powerful.
The visits to the Chengis Khan Monument and the Temple were all sorted by the family, we were met at the airport on arrival and driven to the Ger Camp via the Monument and they also drove us to the Temple. We opted for the visit to the nomad family which was interesting and we were able to experience some typical Mongolian food such as mares milk cheese and drink and milk curds. They suggested some walks we could do from the camp and we enjoyed those, the views were spectacular. I would definitely go back to the camp and would recommend it to anyone.
We were disappointed by the amount of new camps and hotels being created around the Ger Camp which meant that there was a fair bit of light pollution. You could still see stars but it would have been better without the lights from other modern camps.

Only manager speaks English but other family staffs are very friendly and helped me a lot. They offer some activities. I participated horse riding, hiking Ariyabul meditation temple & turtle rock and visiting nomad family. All actives were great. I could relax and enjoy my stay there.
Music was played loudly near camping place at night.

The staff were super lovely, the breakfast was good, there was power and warm showers, the surrounding area was lovely - ideal for time in nature: runs, bike rides, horses, etc. We extended our stay there because we enjoyed it so much.
I think I'd expected it to be slightly more isolated (i.e. away from other camps) than it was. It wasn't a problem, you quickly got used to it, though a neighbouring camp was a bit loud on a Saturday night, taking away from the otherwise peaceful nature of the place. It's still a really fantastic place to go.

I like everything about My Mongolia Eco camp! Everyone was so friendly and caring, the food was delicious and the room was really warm and clean. I wish I could stay longer in here.
The camp also offers tours like hiking, horse riding, sightseeings and transfer services ect. Make sure that you use some or all of them as the price is really reasonable.
Nothing at all.

I like that the ger I stayed in is a traditional one and that I got to experience staying in it.
none, you just have to be cautious of dogs when venturing out to nearby hills and mountains. I was chased once.

Everything was amazing! The gers are well equipped with everything needed, the staff is extremely polite and helpful. All the activities were also very well organised. I wouldnt stay in any other camp - this is the best choice.
Wi-fi wasnt working well, but I didnt need it anyways. Just heads up for those who need internet - buy a sim card before going to the camp.

If you are looking for a small resort in a true nature area, this is the one to choose. Khotla was a lovely host, and the food was quite good. Sleeping in a ger is a unique experience.
I have no complaints. This is the kind of place where you have to be ok just being by yourself for extended periods.
