Room was lovely. Breakfast decent. Supports the children's home of the same name so money to a good cause.
A fan might have been nice since the room was stuffy but it's noisy with the window open. Shower was a bit confusing. Location is a bit hard to find but I used the pickup service from the airport ($30).

Great value for the location if you're used to staying at hostels. Staff are lovely and available 24 hours, so a late night check in is possible.
No towels provided. The area immediately outside the hostel feels a little bit dodgy as a solo female traveler, but I didn't have any issues.

My review is based only on the apartment on first floor as I don't know how places in upstairs apartments looks like.
The dorm room was clean, spacious and had a window to open to get fresh air unlike the second dorm room which does not have a window.
The place is like a house you have a living room with nice sofas to sit on. Kitchen is small but totally ok, breakfast included and unlimited tea any time during the day this was a plus.
The most annoying thing was the toilets. Very tiny, no space and it is like a public toilets were you can hear and smell from the next stall. I will suggest for the guest house to close one of the toilets and make the other two a little bit bigger. One of the showers is also very tiny and need replacement.
From the kitchen window you can see trash and dirt on the roof, needs cleaning of that space so it looks nice.

Anandis lovely guesthouse was couple of times our base in UB. It was everything clean and all of the beds were comfortable(we tried severels). She speaks great English and could help us in all our doubts and questions. At our last visit we got a room upgrade and she surprised us with a whole apartment. We definitely come back to her place next time we are again in UB.

The staff here is really great, which makes staying here pleasant. It is an actual hostel also, you have the dormitory bedroom and then private rooms. Other stays in Ulaanbaatar are not hostels, that's why I like this one because it is a hostel made for travelers. There are 3 toilets, 2 showers, a small kitchen but good enough and they have cutting boards to prepare food. Breakfast is boiled eggs, toast, fried bread rolls, cereal, milk and sometimes bananas. For $10 I would say it is a deal. A safe bet to stay for a while when visiting Ulaanbaatar!! OH!! And they also set up a taxi pick up for me, the driver was focused and did a great job too!! Thank you very much!!
The beds are somewhat hard, it can get hot in the room but with the windows open the common area is aired enough. Some of the guests here are interesting to say the least some staying here for months also and occasionally a drunk in the hostel most the day, until he runs out of booze lol... But I would stay here again for sure!!

because the window does not close tightly, noise from street. Also some LED lamps have only blue light, prickly to the eye. Shower is smal plastic cabin. i don't know, the hot water has be, or not. because hot water is warm, not hot.

Staff were very friendly and good at English, room was nice and big and breakfast delicious and convenient. Would definitely come back for my next trip to Mongolia
Only thing that could be better is the isn’t that many toilets available on the floor and only 2 showed to share for whole floor. It was not busy while we were there but could see it being a bit crowded when guesthouse is more busy.

Cute little hostel in the center of the city. The girl working at the front desk was wonderful and so helpful with recommendations, she sent me to a great local shopping center for more wool socks to wear out west. She also helped another girl in my room make a bus reservation that required a local Mongolian app.
Nothing much! Just be aware the building has radiator heating so it is very warm inside (but there are outdoor spaces and windows that open if needed).

Staff here are amazing. They will help with anything you need ie. Laundry, taxis, tours.
The guesthouse funds a children's centre which we had the pleasure of visiting twice. Guest house was quiet most of the time. The guesthouse is in a brilliant central location and we managed to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpfull. The common room is comfortable. There are some lockers. Breakfast is simple but changes every day. Location is great. It felt as a home away from home.
The kitchen on the first floor is a bit limited.
