The owner was helpful and knew english - rare to find someone talking english even on the international airport.
The location was ok for downtown business and has a busstop at the frontdoor.
The price.
A bit far from the bus terminal ( but near downtown).

Fine breakfast - fried egg, salami, bread, butter, some vegetable and tea/coffee. Rooms were clean.
Location is a bit far from the center and the surroundings are not looking nice - all neighbouring houses are falling appart, next to the hotel is closed strip club, garbage on the streets. The receptionist never was on the reception, we had to call her on a local number.

The location is great just 100 meters to Ulaanbaatar train station. Grocery also can buy just next to the hotel. Tho for me as woman very difficult carrying my 2 big luggages up to the 3rd floor because the hostel has only stairs, luckily my tour guide is kind enough to helped me carrying my luggages up to my room at 3rd floor.
The room smells when I entered the room cause it was smell something like cigarettes and I had to open the windows even was so cold by the time was there to vanished the bad smell.

The hostel is conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from the train station, and about 30 minute walk to the State Department Store and other places to see, which gave me an opportunity to discover a bit of the city without having to use the public transport or taxi. I really appreciated the early check in at no charge. I was lucky not to have any roommates for the day/night. I didnt realize my booking wasnt paid by credit card already, and I didnt have the cash with me, so the receptionist agreed that I could pay later in the day. I was also offered a transfer service to the airport, which would have been very helpful as there is no public transport, and I would have serious difficulties using the local taxi.
It was a bit difficult to communicate with the staff, as their knowledge of English was very limited. The room wasnt as clean as I was hoping (there were some fibers/hairs in the bathroom, and there a couple of spots on the floor that were sticky). The hair dryer didnt work properly, and the water took some time to get warm. There was no soap in the bathroom, which I thought was a bare minimum. I couldnt pay by credit card on the spot, so I had to recover some cash, which would have been good to know in advance. As I came back in the evening after the day walk I couldnt find anyone at the reception to pay, I decided to leave it in the room when I would leave early in the morning and went to sleep. I was awaken by the receptionist at 22:30, who asked if I could pay, which was a little bit disturbing. All together the stay was very well worth the money I paid, but I believe these are minor issues that wouldnt require much effort to improve, so these comments can be used as a base for improvement.

The staff were friendly and allowed me to check in early. The room was large and clean. I loved the big desk and all the storage space. It was a very comfortable and warm room (even when it was -22 degrees outside). Its good value for money. The location is good for the train station, a short walk away. And also walkable to the centre of the city.
The only negative thing was that one the first night I only had lukewarm water in the shower (I guess other guests had used all the hotwater).

Nice stuff, talking English, owner also speak Russian.
Strip club next to the hostel. (they closing only at 4am so it's loud.)
And it was cold in room. No heating.

LG staff were amazing. Ever so helpful taking their time translating and googleing things for us in Mongolian. Location is great, walking distance to all the great sites in UB. Quiet road at night, safe and secure. Very safe and good to park a car.
There was nothing I did not like.

We had a great experience here! Amar picked us up from the airport and took us around the city. When our next flight was cancelled, he helped us find the airport staff and we took a tour with him before taking our rescheduled flight. Overall great experience at the hostel and with the staff! Highly recommend!

Good hospitality & clean room. I stayed here on March when Its off season. I could stay a big room with dormitorys price. It was very comfortable. And the owner and his family manage this hostel. They all are friendly and good hospitality.
The owner & his wife speak English. I think make foreigners good stay
There is a free wifi , However I couldnt use it in my room almost. But no problem. A reception is good in lobby.
