The hotel lobby was beautifully renovated. The bakery was a fantastic idea. The breakfast was nice.
Well i do know that Hilton is a famous chain of hotels and based on that perhaps i expected more. The guy who checked us in said he will upgrade us to a room with a balcony, however we never used the balcony as it was dirty, it was covered with bird droppings. It was a site that we could not even open the curtain. I did complain but there was no action taken. N the bathroom was outdated.

Too big, not cosy, what a difference with Governor s residence in Rangoon (but it is not the same price) or Centara in Chiang Mai (it is the same price).

The staff were all friendly and keen to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The grounds are well kept. The breakfast was top quality with an enormous range of Asian and Western options.
The room was standard, but nothing out of the ordinary to warrant the star ratibg. The bathroom needs updating and the lighting could be better. The rest of the hotel was lovely, but the room rather dated.

The hotel is large, clean, modern and beautiful. The rooms are of good size, bathrooms slightly basic but generally clean. The staff make this hotel what it is. They are beyond attentive, approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond for us throughout our visit, helping to organise a car for rent for the day with ease and in a very sweet gesture having a birthday cake ready for me at check out at 6am on my birthday!! Really very thoughtful. We spent NYE here and enjoyed the decoration poolside, international buffet and barbecue. There was a good choice and entertainment via the live band on the floating stage in the pool was great. 12 o'clock countdown was a bit anticlimactic.
Our only two negatives would be servicing of the rooms: dirty tissues and a full bins were left in our bathroom following cleaning and mouldy complimentary food left, despite us calling three times to ask or it to be removed.

As expected with a well known hotel chain such as the Hilton, the service was brilliant and staff incredibly helpful. The ambience was welcoming and warm. The pool was refreshing and the gym, well equipped. The room was comfortable and clean.
The room we were assigned was showing signs of tiredness, especially the bathroom. The pool water was a little too cold for our liking - kids were begging their parents not to put them in there!

Good breakfast buffet. As a nice touch you can sample the Myanmar style tea (very very sweet and milky) without having to risk your health going to a local tea house. Helpful staff with very decent level of english. Spacious rooms. However, the interior design style of the rooms is like a time travel back to the 80s.
The rooms have the charm of a 3 star hotel with interior design of the late 80s. No walk in shower, just a very dated bathtub. For the price the hotel charges, this is somewhat debatable.
