We had a wonderful stay at Villa Saray, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped, the hosts friendly and attentive. The real highlight is the garden terrace, filled with vines, fruit trees and flowers and with breathtaking views over the the old town and lake Ohrid. Thank you Maria for making our time with you so memorable.

I cannot rate Villa Saray, because it would not be representative of their overall offer. They have nice apartments on the lower floor. They gave me the single apartment on the upper floor, because they thought it would be warmer, and they were doing some work which they felt would disturb me; I could hear the noise anyway. I did not like the apartment at all and moved out after one night; Maria offered a reimbursement, but I declined; she and her husband are very nice. Basically, they have two products: some nice apartments, and a lousy one. The reviews I read and the photos I saw are all about the nice apartments, so they are misleading. The listing should be modified to make it clear there ae two categories of apartments, with different descriptions and different prices. Better yet, they could upgrade the lousy apartment; the layout is difficult, but it could be done with a reasonable investment. At the moment, the fridge and table are out on what could be called an enclosed porch. The kitchen is very small and is not equipped properly. There is a single outlet for a kettle, a toaster and an old cooking plate that is extremely slow. The bathroom is small and feels unclean; the taps of the sink and the shower are fed through the same pipe; you have to move a lever depending on what you want to do. I offer all this in a constructive manner. I had a bad experience in Venice last September; I ended up with the worst apartment I have ever had; after exchanging with the manager, it turned out they gave me the basic (very) instead of the superior one I had booked. Mistake or abuse; I don't know. There were no apologies for the mistake, if it was one.

Excellent location. Beutifull view of the lake from the terrace. Bunches of grapes over head. History and culture around. Nice hostess who speaks english very well. A unique chance to practice the Macedonian language, what was great!

Comfortable room with everything I needed including a fridge, use of a shared kitchen, and a hairdryer on request. Great location and amazing view from the terrace or balconies. Lovely family running the apartments.
The bathroom was old and not very clean, including a leaking toilet. Although I love cats, it was a little frustrating that it was impossible to eat or drink outside due to the beautiful cats looking for food.

The room is very nice within the old town so one can visit the beautiful Ohrid. The owner is nice and the room is fully equipped. The ratio quality/cost is also good as well as the internet connection.
The room was not so clean with a lot of stuffs especially in the leaving room and the bathroom. The shower could also not be fixed to the wall so it was not ideal.

The best stay we had in our lives. The landlord is so nich and helpful. We managed to make a connection with tchem and their cats(4-5). If you look for sweet accomodation with family-kinda vibes this place is for you.

This place is fantastic. The view from our balcony was INCREDIBLE. I could have stayed there for days. The owners are super kind and sweet. I would stay here again if I come back. Ill never forget that view.

Super location, stunning view, beautiful garden. Everything in Ohrid is within a few minute walking distance. The private balcony was just perfect. There is a common, fully-equipped kitchen area downstairs which we only used for making coffee but we found it quite handy. The host was super helpful and really nice - he even took us to the bus station, as our bus to Skopje was leaving at 5:30 AM. Thanks for everything!
The room and bathroom itself could use a bit of renovation but nothing major. We visited in peak season so the town can get a bit noisy at night but that is not the accommodation's fault. There was a strange smell around the balcony but it only bothered me (not my husband). Overall, great value for money and highly recommended!
