I liked the very helpful staff and the warm owner. Everything worked fine, they did not have electricity for a day (cane back right as I was checking in), but this was out of their control.
The hotel is on a hill, so no matter where you come, its quite a walk uphill with a full stomach after a nice restaurant! Helps burn the calories though. ;)

Silence and calm. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The location in the old town is nice. The room was large and spacious. The lake and city view of the room is excellent. The staff was hospitable, friendly and helpful. The streets in the old city are quite narrow, so having a parking space is an advantage. Breakfast was adequate.
Especially the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. There were some spider webs on the walls. When we first entered the room, there was a dead fly on the bed.

The rooms were spacious , clean, airy and bright with sunlight. We had a parking place just infront of the facility. We had a nice sitting room. The staff were very communinicative and helpful and had no problem about speaking English. We had a very nice breakfast.
The facility itself is very good and centrally situated in the old part of Ohrid, however to get to most places of interest, be it to the lake, to the fortress, to the old theater (which is really close), or to the numerous lovely old churches, or to the numerous restaurants, you have steep hills or a number of high steps, which are quant but rather tiring.

Great location with lovely views of the lake. Friendly and attentive staff who are very knowledgable about the area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Very Good
Villa Kale provides a good room at a low price and thus is a very good option for most travellers. Our room was relatively large. Staff were friendly. The location is excellent, uphill close to the center but removed from the crowd and the noise.
The bed was a problem for us. It comes in one piece and it is impossible to tuck sheets in. The comforters (two for a king size bed) were far too small so that you can't keep them on you during the night. Pretty uncomfortable!

This place is wonderful. Its in the charming old town of Ohrid which makes for a lovely walk back to the hotel after exploring the local area. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive, and also helped me get a taxi to the airport the following morning. When I was shown to my room, the view out of the window instantly made me smile. The room was spotless and felt cosy. My room had a balcony which also overlooked Lake Ohrid. I wish I had stayed longer than one night here.

View of lake from room. Buffet breakfast at last, after our previous hotels only had fixed cooked breakfast.
The directions were not very clear, and with the property being in the old town, the streets are very narrow, so turning and parking is very limited and difficult. The 'nearby' restaurants mentioned are down a steep hill, so hard walking down, and harder walking back after dinner.
