Location of property - quiet, above the main town centre and away from the lakeside. Manager/Owner (Ivan) very helpful in dealing with difficult taxi driver, recommending restaurants and visit to Old City.
Unacceptable that there could be two different Villa Bella in Ohrid. I passed the Albanian driver our address. He drove us from the Border and using his internet took us eventually to the wrong Villa Bella some 10kms from the City along the lake. We wasted over an hour and then he tried to charge me 35 for what should have been a max 20 min drive from the border. I had to settle for 25 when I am sure the going rate should have been no more than 15. Ivan from our correct Villa did his best to help my negotiations - why should I be responsible and pay for the driver taking me to the wrong address? This was a very poor introduction to Northern Macedonia - but not a local Ohrid driver! No-frills room was very simple with basic facilities - no telephone or obvious means of communicating with the manager. No coffee-making facilities in the room, kettle outside on the landing and some coffee/tea/sugar under the stairs left over from breakfast. Not clear if it was available 24 hrs. Breakfast buffet only available from 0900. To be collected and taken outside to eat in the attractive garden. Expensive at 70 per night given basic facilities compared with other hotels used in Albania. Unable to pay by card because of new banking arrangements - had to go out and draw local currency from ATM down in the town.

Location and proximity to the city center
No common areas or lobby except one small balcony which is mostly used for smoking. was more of a airbnb style and advertised as a hotel. Beds were very hard.

Perfect location high in the old town above all the tourist hastle. Large rooms with balcony. Reasonable breakfast.
Parking near the property is difficult. Only payment in cash possible.

It was mostly clean & rooms were a decent size.
The manager is horrible & has a serious lack of customer service skills. We took cold showers and he wound shut off the air conditioning units anytime we left the property- even if it was 10 minutes! Things were not as promised- no coffee maker or irons in the rooms. No toiletries as promised. Basically, you didnt get anything that was promised on the booking.com website.

Very different from the description on booking.com - small rooms, one common terrace, they didn't clean the room or make the beds, only one coffee cup was removed

Clean room in a nice place. Close to the old town.
We booked 3 rooms with parking for our motorbikes. Instead we had to leave our bikes on the road outside that was very dangerous and unsafe.
The rooms were supposed to have a safe parking and breakfast. We were told that they dont serve breakfast because the season is finished.

We only stayed one night, but for that it was perfect. As stated in the reservation the view indeed was toward the lake. Clean, large rooms, comfortable bed, really excellent! The hotel is on a hill "above" the lake, but only five minutes walk from it! The breakfast was served in the garden, at an early hour - because we had to leave and asked for an early breakfast.

The room was clean. All the facilities are great. The host was very kind, warm and friendly. He recommended us where is better to eat in town and what to visit in our short stay.
The breakfast was various and plenty and we served it down stairs in the garden terrace.
The location is very close to every point of interest and we never had to use the car.
