The view on the lake is nice. The room is modern.
Too far away from the city center, the road to access it is really steep and it's hard to cross with another car. The jacuzzi and swimming pool in the pictures are private, we did not have access to it. It was absolutely not clean: we found a lot of black hairs in the shower, there was a lot of dust around the bed and the sofa. When we arrive, the reception was closed. We had to call a local number to get someone, we had to spend extra money for that. Same when we left: we just left the keys into the apartment, as the reception was closed. Weird for a 4 stars accommodation.... One very small shower gel for two people for two nights, we had to buy an extra one as it was not enough. Very noisy, we hear everything that's going on in the stairs, that woke us up at 7 am, nice for a Sunday... As a conclusion, we will go back to Ohrid, but for sure not in this accommodation.

Velestovo House was EXACTLY what we were looking for as a base to explore the Ohrid area. It is located just outside the city -- so it is very peaceful, with a spectacular view of the lake from up the mountainside. The one bedroom apartment was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The balcony was very large, with a gorgeous view of the lake. Mila, the property manager was exceptional, so friendly and helpful --- really made us feel welcome. And while the apartment is outside of town, it is easy to access the old town and surrounding lake area (and national parks) if you have a car. There is also a very nice, reasonably priced restaurant (under the same ownership) 500 or so meters away. The accommodation is also quite easy to find, and there is ample parking in front.
Everything was perfect. We were looking for a quiet apartment, with plenty of space and view of the lake (as opposed to staying in the congested old town area), and Velestovo House more than met our expectations.

The rooms were clean and well equipped. The location is really nice! Its quite place with a great view. The host was very kind and helpful. We visited a restaurant not far from the house (around 300m). We were a group of 18 people and we enjoyed our time there. I recommend this accommodation for families and groups as well. Its not far from the city but you need a car anyway. There is a free parking.
