Pool area was good. Breakfast was also decent. Overall quiet location
The gym is not functional at all. Pics on the website aren’t accurate. No treadmill working or anything just some weights but not a welcoming gym , too out of date to use. There were a few issues with cleanliness at first but they eventually took care of it.

Wonderful small hotel with a beautiful garden and pool. Inside, the attention to detail in the decor was splendid as well. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and ours had a beautiful terrace with a view. The neighborhood is beautiful and close to the park for walking and hiking, as well as close to the beach on the Atlantic side (which have prettier beaches) and close to the center as well. Our stay was relaxing and perfect!

Very Beautiful villa, beautifully decorated and peaceful. The garden is lushy and beautiful as well. The Working staff is responsive.
We booked this for 4 persons, 2 of those got an excellent room and 2 of those got an outdated room. They were willing to change this, but it took 3 Room changes to fit their planning which was a hazzle for the people involved. The management also has a lot of restrictions, Such as non Peignoirs at the swimming pool allowed, The towels which they provided were very thin and poor quality and barely dried. The most prevalent were the many small remarks the staff made in terms of what was allowed and not at the accommodation so a claustrofobic protocol they have inmplemented which did not contribute to the relaxation. Their Resto was overpriced compared to the value and the overall prices in the region.

The property is fairly good and expansive with a nice garden and swimming pool. Quiet neighborhood. Decent breakfast and pleasant restaurant staff.
1. Reception staff don't speak much English and some of them seemed a bit indifferent and cold i.e. not exactly welcoming. 2 Reception staff on duty didn't seem to be coordinated. I stayed for two nights and had already paid the city tax on check-in but on check-out, the person on duty asked me to pay it as he had no record of it being paid. Only when I insisted that I had paid, did he accept it ( and to his credit did so quickly).; I had a printed receipt but I guess I had forgotten they had given me one; and so had they.
3. Wifi ( both networks) did not work well in my room ( Room 1). There was no signal 80% of the time while the rest of the time it was weak. Perhaps a booster is required. I did remark once about it being poor to reception and they asked me to connect to another network but as I said both were spotty and I didn't feel like complaining again as I knew it was a range issue. Still, someone could have checked if I was still having an issue with the wifi. But no one did. I assume the principle is ' everything is ok unless someone complains i.e. if no one complains, then the guest must be satisfied '. Some proactiveness could have helped and added a touch of warmth to guest relations which is crucial.
4. I expected bottled water to be replenished ( stayed 2 nights) but was informed that water is given only at the time of check-in. For rest of the days, one must buy. This may be a policy I was unaware of but in a huge majority of hotels I have stayed around the world, two free 500 ml bottles per room per night is like a standard. Some even give two 1L bottles per room per night.
5. Toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were good but at least the bottles could be labelled? Or should one guess from the color?

Nice setting and attentive staff
Few details that can be improved namely changing of towels and cleaning of the rooms. Although is located in one of the most “posh” areas of Tangier if you don’t have a car it can prove a bit difficult to get taxis .

The Dar Tanja is a beautiful hotel set in tranquil surroundings. It really felt luxurious and was the perfect setting to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle.

The hotel was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The things we liked include the spacious room, the food at breakfast ( and dinner too!) and more importantly the friendliness of staff!
There was a issue with the hot water and we didn't have people to help us out late in the evening. A number to contact would have been nice!

Absolutely everything! Such a wonderful place. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive. Restaurant (we had dinner)...and breakfast were very good. We arrived very early (8:30am) and were able to check-in...and were offered some mint tea and cake upon our arrival. WONDERFUL!! Thank you!!

The house is beautiful and feels like a private retreat. The breakfast is enjoyable, and the owner, who lives there, is very welcoming. The small private hammam and massage were relaxing and enjoyable.
Our room was located at the end of the corridor, outside the main building, which was a bit disappointing. However, the balcony offered a lovely view that somewhat made up for it.
