Slight smell in bathrooms..

Broken toilet when returning to our room the first night. We had to use the reception toilet until we checked out the next day....Compensation was 10% off that nights stay.

The remodeling artifacts in the alley made it difficult to transit.

Everything was fine.

Nothing, I cant complain about anything.

They double booked our room and relocated us to a less nice Riad nearby in a much smaller room and refused to compensate us for the difference. We were traveling shortly after the earthquake so we contacted them ahead of time to ask if everything was ok at the Riad and they assured us it was. Then, the day before we were supposed to stay while we were out in the Sahara desert they emailed to say simply that there was a problem with the room for the first night of our stay and that they had relocated us. This meant we lost half a day to packing up and checking out of the other place and waiting to check in to Palais Sebban. They refused to tell us what the problem was with the room. They initially told us they would be able to check us in early, but when we arrived the next day we were repeatedly told the room would be ready soon while we sat and waited for over an hour. When pressed about the delay they said that checkout time wasnt until noon and the staff needed time to prepare the room. If someone else was checking out of the room we had booked, that means they double booked it and kept the money from both of us. The room itself was nice but there were a couple of issues - we wanted to watch the news because of the earthquake and the tv that was advertised as coming with the room did not work. We were also told that the two AC units in the suit were operated by the same remote but this was a lie- the remote operated one and the other had been turned off because when turned on it leaked water all over the floor. We dealt with these issues because we did not wish to be moved again. Upon checking out, we asked how we would be compensated for the first night and they said we should have asked sooner and they could have comped our dinner. My guess is this was also a lie as they knew that we ate at the restaurant the first night (we had a reservation) and they did not offer to comp our meal at the time.

They didn't give me the room I booked. I had booked one with seating area , but the staff said that they did not have this room

The bed was very hard and really need a mattress topper.

Our room has a courtyard in front and sometimes staff would hang out there. I dont blame the staff (they are all lovely) at all for doing this and I think it was also because it was close to some cleaning supplies or the corridor to the service area. Still, it is a bit awkward to hear people outside when youre chilling
