an amazing oasis in the souks, taxi transfer arranged by the hotel directly so no worries there. we had a quick look at all the rooms, they are fab and colourful. Our room was the Ceramique Artdeco, glorious room, quiet, plenty of room, private terrace, own sun beds and access to the roof, to enjoy the fabulous jacuzzi, lovely to cool down in mid afternoon. staff are just so friendly and cannot do enough for you.
nothing. highly recommend

Great location, great breakfast, great service, very recommended Riad in the middle of the Medina
The muezzin at 5:00 was unusually long and loud.

Amazing riad in the heart of the Medina. Staff very attentive, nice welcome with Moroccan tea and helpful tips about the city. The riad itself is beautifully decorated and plenty of spots to relax. Rooms were comfortable and had all the required amenities. We had dinner at the restaurant one night which was also delicious and a good selection for breakfast.
Nothing.

Breakfast was delicious Fresh juice, delicious teas and coffees, a wide variety of pastries as well and a charcuterie board with olives. Don't forget to try the almond butter with argan oil!
The early morning prayers in all locations can wake you up if you are a light sleeper, so have a pair of good earplugs handy.

The feeling of being in an exclusive place. All is so nice and the team is pampering you from the time you enter the riad. It is really the place to stay in the Medina. The atmosphere is very cosy and no need to say that the breakfast is very good. We had dinner too and it was also a great experience.

The staff at this riad were exceptionally helpful (with the slight exception of the woman at the reception desk of Karmela Princessa - she was a tad officious). We had some itinerary changes and they were exceptionally accommodating and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel next door (Karmela) was very good - I recommend for a meal for sure. Staff were very reliable in setting up taxi's, guides and other plans - five stars for management of details. If you want an experience of being in the middle of a busy Medina, without too much noise - this is your Riad for sure.
The location is both good and not good. If you want to be in the middle of Medina action without too much noise and filth - this is a great choice. If, however, you are in Marrakech for a few days, the noise and hustle / bustle of the alleys and the inconvenience of the narrow streets (and no cars) can be a frustration. The scooters in the unavoidable alleys are dangerous. My child actually got hit by a speeding motorcycle and she was so close to the wall she had no room to get out of his way. It becomes unpleasant to walk around at certain times - but this is not the fault of the hotel at all - the hotel staff were so considerate and helpful. Despite being a respite from the busy street, the Riad can be a little noisy as the rooms all face an internal courtyard. Other guests can be a bit noisy coming and going and of course the early morning call to prayer from the mosque next door is a unique wake-up call! I did not like the smoky fireplace at night as they close the roof of the courtyard and the smoke gets trapped. They were nice enough to adjust this for me upon request. The fire is way too small to really provide any heat - but it sure is smokey

We had a memorable stay at Riad Karmela. The place is authentic and is decorated well to give Marrakesh vibes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Christmas evening dinner with Live music was great and so was the very relaxing and refreshing Hammam Spa by Khiltum and Saeed! Special thanks to Amine for treating us with tasty Gluten free vegeterian Pasta. Thank you very much for your hospitality - Hamsa, Amine, Aziz, Mohammed, and many others at Riad. Shookran.
Hot water availability in Bathrooms can be improved.

The staff members of the riad were professional and were willing to give a helping hand to guests at all times. The riad is about 8 mins walk from the closest taxi drop-off point. The doorman picked us up from there and helped bringing our luggage to the riad. The riad offers Moroccan food and French cuisine which are more expensive than the restaurant in the Medina but this should be expected. The room is clean and tidy and the beds are firm (not suitable for those who like plush beds). Bathroom is clean with clean towels, bath and shower gels offered for free.
Food choice for breakfast is limited to bread, cereal and cold cuts with no hot and warm food. There was a fireplace where firewood is burnt at night. The smell of the firewood was a bit strong in my opinion which may cause discomfort to those who are allergic to smoke and strong smell. We had to open the window in the room for better ventilation. On the night before we leave, the riad offered us early breakfast at 7am the next day because we had to leave at 7:45 the next day. While the offer is appreciated the breakfast didnt come eventually, which is disappointing.
