Location was great, super comfy bed and in a quiet part of the median so slept great. The riad was full of art and just perfect for our needs. Staff was excellent and so friendly and place was very clean. Will definitely stay again if we return!

The breakfast was rich, delicious and fulfilling. The location just close to all the old town main sites.
All good.

We are a family travelling with two children aged 7 and 10 and it was great that they offer a room with a big bed and two additional proper beds. We loved the location as we wanted somewhere down the little alleys of Marrakech for the experience. Our first night we were a little concerned as there didn’t seem to be a member of staff on site after our initial check in but after that, the staff were present and very kind, especially to my daughters who adopted a little cat from the street during our stay and they allowed to come in and play - this made their day!

The Riad staff was great and flexible with our requests. They arranged the excursion to the Agafay desert, guided tour and transportation from airport and to train station. Everything worked properly, despite some taxi issues that were rapidly solved. The guided tour was fantastic, with a super friendly and knowledgeable guide.
Internet was very unstable and barely working.

The helpful staff were a pleasure to interact with right throughout our stay. Breakfast each morning was good home prepared and represented value for money. The venue is right in the heart of the Medina which has both positive and negative points
The rooms we had were on the ground floor on either side of the courtyard. A little bit small but comfortable enough although any noise at the entrance or in the courtyard was very audible.

Very Poor
Nice and clean riad, nice bedrooms and in general good rooms
When my friend and I arrived at the hotel, there were two ladies checkin out of the riad because they had cancelled the reservation and the hotel staff was preparing their room to give it to us. The lady came up to us and told us to leave the riad cause it’s location was very very unsafe and it wasn’t good for two young women to stay there. The reception guy (or the owner idk) later came by asking us what had the lady told us, and insisted several times until we told him she wasn’t happy with the location and she told us to leave. He got mad and told us it wasn’t ok that she was trying to scare us (she was warning us of what happened later). Later that night, the same reception guy slept outside our room during the whole night. Before going to sleep I stayed up in the central courtyard working and he was on the sofas looking directly at me for the whole time. The next day when I opened the door of my room and I got out of my room, and as I just closed it was pitch dark since it was still 7:30 am and there weren’t any lights on in the courtyard. I started listening someone calling me in the dark, but I started panicking cause I couldn’t see anything and I knew the guy had been there. The sound he was making was like “tsss” as if he was calling me or something. I started panicking and found the light switch and saw he had slept besides our room during the whole night and he was calling me from the sofas he was laying on. He started asking me questions of where I was going which made me even more uncomfortable. Later I left and when I started walking at 7:35 am the area was completely alone and desolate, and it felt very dangerous and the few people that were there looked at me a lot. Later at night, around 10:00 pm, my friends were waking me back to the hotel. We were 5 people, but as we walked the area started getting more and more dark and lonely and we started panicking and feeling very unease.

The host Mohammad was extremely kind and helped us greatly during our stay. The Riad is beautiful and very peaceful amongst the chaos of the medina. Very clean and comfortable.
We could not pay with card upon arrival. It was not a problem, but would have been helpful to know this before. Our room was on the bottom floor, directly beside the court yard. We found we didn’t have much privacy in terms of sound because of this. Again, it was not a big problem but worth noting. The Riad was also difficult to find initially, as google maps doesn’t work well here and the property is not very noticeably sign posted.

This accommodation is perfect just because we met the nicest person ever- Siad who was there for us all the time. The room was also nice and the location was great (just as described). There is also a rooftop where we were resting. Highly recommended! Siad we’re gonna miss you!!!

Wonderful
The Riad was very clean, with nice common spaces (very nice common room and terrace to enjoy Marrakech’s sun). The room was also very good, with lovely furniture and comfortable bedding. Moreover, it is in the very center of the Medina, which allows to enjoy the local lifestyle and have the most authentic experience. The most enjoyable aspect of the property still remains the staff, very friendly and helpful with every one of our needs ! Would totally recommend to stay at Riad Gaya.

We enjoyed our stay at this place very much and would be happy to come back one day. It’s a nice and relaxing Riad in Marrakesh medina. The location is excellent for medina walks and enjoying the traditional neighbourhood. We arrived by taxi and the taxi driver called the Riad for the last part to walk, this is very convenient as otherwise it might be difficult to find the place on your own. The family room was nice with 4 beds and bathroom. Beds were very convenient and with perfectly clean sheets. There’s a WiFi, probably not much suitable for serious work. We also took the optional breakfast and it was very good value.

Good
The one day we had breakfast was nice. The staff is friendly and they gave us tea on arrival and Said helped us find a place to have dinner near the riad. We had some trouble getting cash due to the cashpoint not working, but Said was very patience and flexible with us regarding the payment.
It was a bit difficult to find the first time. Breakfast starts at 9:30am so no time to have it if you are doing morning activities. The facilities are a bit older than expected and the little pool was empty.
