The location is great in the hearth of medina and the staff is really kind

With an excellent location inside the Medina, the Riad dar Ourika was the perfect base for us to explore Marrakech, on our first visit to Morocco. Authentic, traditional lodging is what you can expect at the Riad, with a wonderful host Mr. Noureddine and his amazing staff who made us feel right at home. This was just what we were hoping for. The Riad is located within the old Medina, with no vehicular access. Given our very late flight, Noureddine arranged for our transport from the airport, and met us at the nearest parking area to escort us to the hotel in the middle of the night. Each morning the kind staff served us a hearty breakfast, with variety each day, to send us on our way. Noureddine arranged several tours to local attractions for us, and even prepared early breakfast for us when the tour schedule necessitated an early departure. He even arranged a taxi to the train station on our last day, and once more personally escorted us to meet our driver outside the Medina. Our room was very quiet, and we slept well. Plenty of hot water in the shower. We loved being able to walk right out of the Riad into the very heart of the bustling Medina. At the end of the day, the roof top terrace was a beautiful and very peaceful area to relax. We had a great visit to Marrakech, an experience we’ll never forget. We feel as though we made not only memories, but new friends at the Riad dar Ourika. Thank you Noureddine and staff.

Location and comfort

Lovely staff especially noureddine and women in kitchen who made me feel like home , the place is lovely and the bed was very very comfortable. I would love to come back as soon as possible✨

The experience was more than great, everthing was good and clean, an amazing hospitality, the bed was so so so comfortable , i want to say thank you to the stuff i've heard of how nice they are but the reality is beyond that they really make us feel home, thank youuuu so much and we will come back again inshaellah

The property was very spacious, clean, and well kept. We stayed in a traditional double room and it was huge - big bed, large bathroom, and a small living space area with chairs and chimney. It had a nice breakfast space and beautiful authentic Moroccan rooms with a double-layered rooftop.

From the warm welcome upon arrival to all the kind care, the genuine friendliness, the delicious breakfasts, and the smiles on their faces – everything was truly wonderful. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and we truly felt like part of the family. Thanks to them, our holiday became extra special. The memories of Ourika and Marrakech will always hold a special place in our hearts ❤️

Room was spacious and very clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Breakfast was excellent. Evening meal was excellent. Activities arranged according to our needs, good value and great fun. Massage was wonderful.

The location was good. If one gets the right guidance on the impasse they should take to get to the Riad, it’s easy to find, and close to all things. The property is also very nice.

Ossama was such an excellent host and made us feel totally at home and in fact he made our stay. He made us restaurant bookings and walked us to our restaurant on the first night. He also arranged an early check-in to our room and provided us with a huge complimentary fruit bowl platter on our first day and also mint tea. We arranged an airport transfer (highly recommend) and Ossama met us from the car and walked us through the Medina back to the Riad, this made it totally stress-free. The Riad is an old building but totally charming with tasteful decoration and in such a quiet tranquil location. The Royal Suite was fantastic with two bedrooms straight off from the sitting area (curtains no doors). The private terrace is a plus (although it was too cold to use during our visit) but the room also has access to the main terrace where we enjoyed reading whilst catching the sun and listening to the birdsong. The rooms are full of antiques and therefore have great ambiance. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the souk with very good restaurants nearby. We felt totally safe the entire time. The security that walk you through the alleyways to get to the Riad is an added plus, we tipped him two euros each time. We enjoyed eating in Kui Zin (buffet is highly recommended), Limoni and Le Jardin - all very close by. A meal for 4 was about 80-100 euros. No dickie tummies for anyone during our 4 night stay. The breakfast included is great - different each day. We also enjoyed a day at Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Majorelle Gardens (must only use the gallery website to book tickets and supply is limited so book ahead), we walked there, no concerns about safety, and enjoyed a meal at La Terrasse du Jardin. I would also recommend booking trips through the Riad to support the local community. An afternoon and evening spent quad biking/camel riding with dinner and entertainment was worth the extra cost to see the sunset and desert and do something different.
