We came as a family of six. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Zakariya, Muhammad, Hassan and the sister that made breakfast (I didn't get her name), were all fun to talk to.
The location was just right, right next to Badi palace and just seconds from a nice mini square with cafes, eateries, herbalists, and a soak. 6 minutes from Bahia palace and 8-10 minute walk to Jama al-fana. Despite no TV in the rooms my children didn't get bored as the Riad had WiFi, but who goes on holiday to watch TV.
We enjoyed the breakfast, fresh orange juice and my Mrs couldn't get enough of their parathe, I personally enjoyed sipping on their mint tea.
The terrace had a couple of sun seats and a bed to relax and soak some vit-D.
I would definitely recommend Riad Al Wafa and would definitely stay again.

Hosts were very accommodating and gave us a good introduction to Marrakech. Zacharias made reservations for us at a nearby restaurant and even walked us there since it was hard to find. The Riad rooftop view was exceptional. We had to leave very early our second day and they made sure to provide us with breakfast which was delicious!

Nothing. The room reeked of mildew, and it attacked my allergies for the rest of the trip. The bathroom was in the process of deteriorating. More water leaked through the shower connections than it came out for us to shower. The drain was semi-clogged, and water pooled at our feet. Well, as described, Riad Al Wafaa made our first experience in Morocco unforgettable. So unforgettable that I canceled the booking of another Riad next to this one, where we would stay after our 10 day tour of other Moroccan cities.
Some very good experiences are unforgettable, but all bad experiences are unforgettable. The stay at the Riad Al Wafaa was especially unforgettable due to the problems and stress from before arriving at the Riad itself, in fact also due to the photos and text published by Booking.com that do not represent the reality. Booking offered a room with a view of the historic area, but the room had no windows to the outside area! The first problem was with the transfer from the airport to the Riad. In the exchange of messages with the Riad I said that I had a Booking's offer for the transfer and asked if they offered the transfer and for how much. The answer they gave us was that they would pick us up at the airport, that there would be a person with the name of the Riad waiting for us, leading me to understand that there would be no additional cost for these transfer. Well, after more than an hour waiting for someone and three phone calls to the Riad, someone appeared to take us to the Riad. The Riad was dark, and the impression is that everything was dusty. We went to pay for the daily rates with a credit card, as Booking informs, and we were surprised: the tourist tax would have to be paid in cash and the transfer was not included, and the amount was 20% higher than that offered by Booking. Additionally, they used an exchange rate for all payments of 1.00 EUR to 11.00 DHS, when the rate at exchange offices was at most 1.00 EUR to 10.60 DHS. This has additionally generated an increase of ca. 5% on cost. During all this time there was a young man sitting next entertained with his cell phone. When I complained about the cost of the transfer and asked who would have responded to my messages, this young man said he only responded generally as he would always be very busy. It actually wasn't what it looked like to me. He also said that if he was dissatisfied that it was for me to leave that he would cancel the reservation !!!

The entire team are wonderful hosts who made us all feel like at home or staying with friends. Great breakfast (incl. fresh Moroccan breads/pastries), clean and cosy rooms, tea served in the afternoon. Recommended for families. Great location/neighborhood.

Nice riad. The room was spacious and carefully decorated (the bathroom was also really big). The breakfast was good. The riad is inside the medina and you can reach place Jemaa el Fna in 10/15 mins.

The staff was very friendly and provided tea at the check-in before showing us to our room. The rooftop is so lovely with excellent views. The breakfast was delicious and they even provided us a to-go bag of pastries and fruits as we had to check out before breakfast.
