Aesthetically stunning!

We had a fantastic stay at Riad Dar Seven. The property itself is an oasis of calm: tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina, yet a quick walk away from it. It is also quite beautiful, decorated with excellent taste. Definitely what made our stay even more memorable was the care of the staff, who were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Thank you very much.

Entering the riad from the street through the front door was like entering a different world. The decor was truly splendid, very high quality, fabulously clean and the staff were exceptional and determined to ensure my stay from the first moment would be exceptional. I was meeting friends, also staying at Dar Seven, at a restaurant and I was escorted to the restaurant right to the table where my friends were sitting. I would never have found it on my own, especially as this was my first trip to Marrakesh and what can be it’s confusing side streets. Just brilliant. I can’t imagine that happening anywhere else. All the staff were very kind, helpful and eager to help in any way they could. My room was ginormous, the Atlas, with a very comfortable bed and living room area and just a massive bathroom with the biggest bath I have ever seen in my life. I only wish I had been staying longer to have a bath but the shower had to suffice. The towels were scrumptious as were the shower gels and soap. The breakfast was delicious. A glorious mixture of fruit, yogurt, eggs, pastries, juice, tea and coffee and who can forget the ‘masaman’, a delicate local pastry eaten with honey that I couldn’t get enough of. I was full till dinner time. We were staying over new year and my friends and I were helped with arranging taxis and were escorted to the taxi rank so we all felt perfectly safe at all times. I was especially glad of the taxi pick up on arrival that was arranged by Dar Seven which I would highly recommend as the airport is a little hectic if you’ve never been before. The communication with Dar Seven before the trip was excellent and Beatrice was very helpful with booking the airport taxi and extending my stay by a day as well as the initial booking. If you are looking for a riad in the heart of Marrakesh that is affordable, with lovely rooms with fantastically comfortable beds, a delicious breakfast with amazing staff, Dar Seven is for you.

The warmth and attentiveness of the staff; size of the room and the extra living space; breakfast was almost gourmet; music in the afternoons; size of the riad was very cozy and made it feel like a home.

Wonderful staff: hospitable, helpful, friendly, discreet. The building is recently renovated, tastefully furnished, with a nice rooftop terrace. Short walk from the Souks and several good restaurants.
