Everything was incredible. The serenity, calm and cleanliness of the place in the medina is impressive. The staff was even more incredible. Saïd helped us with activities, restaurants, spa and everything.

An absolutely charming little hotel in the middle of the busy city. Sayed is a fantastic and attentive host with plenty of good recommendations. Homemade dinner with a bday cake for our son was great and he is still talking about it. We could not think about a better place for our weekend in Marrakech. Highly recommended!

Idyllic paradisal riad short walk inside Medina. Very hospitable staff. Lovely rooftop terrace with refreshing pool and loungers. Highly recommend.
No complaints. Be aware that it is easy to get lost in labyrinth of Medina.

our room was great, its the bahia suite, highly recommend for a family of 4, it has two bedrooms, one with a king and the other with two small beds but ok for kids. room has high ceilings, very good light, great bathroom and the toilet is separate and has own sink. service is great, Said the manager is amazing, can't do enough for you, his english is perfect. breakfast was good, could be better with more variety but was adequate. hammam and massages also good, and dinner was very good too. i know it can be overwhelming choosing a riad in marrakesh since so many options and many of them being great, and i have no frame of reference for comparison, but dar akal exceeded my family's expectations and we are fairly picky consumers, so I think most people would be very pleased.
location is very good but would be better if not at the back of the alley (took around 5 minutes to walk from the more main street to the front door. i forgot my wallet once and needed to run back to get it and that's when I realized it would be better if at front and not back of the alley/street. still, close enough to walk everywhere worth walking to, we only needed to use a taxi once, to get back from les baines de marrakesh (which i would strongly advise against) in the evening, otherwise comfortable walk everywhere. took maybe 15 minutes to get to jemaa square, 15-20 to koutoubia to meet our guides, 5-7 minutes to the closest taxi stand area. maybe 10 minutes to the spice market sq. area where lots of good restaurants are. also, only 5 minutes from the 2 best restaurants we ate at, La Slimana and and Le Foundouk.

Absolutely stunning Riad nestled in a quiet area but close within walking distance to all main central attractions. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and thoroughly looked after throughout our stay. Stunning roof top sunsets and morning views of the area were a beautiful start & end to each day. Would definitely stay here again.
There’s nothing we didn’t like about the property, and when we asked for some fruit at breakfast, we were treated to a beautiful fruit salad the next morning.
Perhaps offer a range of fruit each morning .

The riad was the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the Madina. Well looked after from the moment we stepped out of the taxi where Siad met us, and took us to the riad. Mint tea on arrival was a lovely touch after a long journey.
The place itself is beautiful, from the rooms to the rooftop. The breakfast every morning was perfect.
The location was great, the staff all very friendly. Siad always on hand to give recommendations and make sure we were ok! Our room was cleaned every single day with new towels. The shower was great! The room spacious and just felt so traditional.
Would truly recommend this riad :-)
Nothing! Not a single bad word to say.

Everything! The service and welcome from Said- the atmosphere - the room - amazing little apartment perfect for 4 friends.
The area seems a bit creepy outside but its perfectly fine and we never felt scared- the place was like a little sanctuary after a day in the busy souks. Highly recommend and Said met us from our Taxi too!

Dar Akal is a beautiful riad and the two bedroom suite was perfect for a stay with my parents. It was much more spacious than in the photos and lovingly decorated. Said and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and our dinner at the riad was one of our best meals.

The Riad was simply wonderful . It’s like stepping into paradise after the busy medina. The decor is very tasteful with some beautiful authentic features. It is very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast on the roof terrace every morning was a treat. We had dinner at the riad on the first night which I recommend. Some of the best food we had.
It’s the staff at the riad that are its greatest asset. The manager Said is elegant, friendly, very professional and unobtrusive. The ladies who cook and service the rooms every day looked after us so well. I have never experienced such a high level of hospitality

EVERYTHING ?????
Authentic Atmosphere** – The riad’s traditional Moroccan architecture, intricate tilework, and charming courtyard create an immersive experience.
2-Peaceful Escape** – Despite being in the heart of the Medina, the riad offers a tranquil retreat from the bustling souks.
3Warm Hospitality** – Said welcoming was filled with so much care and attention to detail. He is a true gentleman whilst offering the calm which is much needed in the beautiful and chaotic Marrakech. Our arrival dinner was so delish and full of wonderful flavours.
4.The stunning rooftop terraces
with views of the Medina, and the the Koutoubia Mosque.
5- Delicious Breakfast** – A homemade Moroccan breakfast with fresh bread, pastries, and local jams is often included. These were the best start to the day. Served with much care from such wonderful staff.
6.- Elegant Rooms** – Rooms are beautifully decorated with traditional furnishings, comfortable beds, and unique details like carved wooden doors.
7 - Great Location** – Being close to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the souks, and historic sites makes exploring easy.
8. **Refreshing Pool**

Tastefully decorated and extremely clean. Highlights were sitting in the central courtyard for mint tea, as well as sunrise delicious breakfasts on the roof. Slightly too chilly for us to use the pool, but we dipped our toes in any case! Plenty of little nooks around the roof terrace or main downstairs areas to relax in the sun or read a book. A special mention to the staff who did everything to help make our stay special, particularly the manager Siad! He is a true gem. Made my mother’s stay with his kind gestures for her birthday. Thank you! Hope to stay again in the future!
As some people mentioned, it is a little way down a maze of passages which some may find hard to reach, but we were fine and felt safe

Dar Akal is a calm and elegant oasis in the center of town. Beautifully decorated, speak and spam, with delicious breakfast which was different every day. We really enjoyed the pool and the terrace, which has separate private areas. The host was extremely helpful and gave us many useful tips. He organized for us airport pickup/drop off, welcome dinner, and an excursion the mountains. Would really recommend and would definitely stay there again!

This Riad is a gem! An absolute oasis in the middle of Marrakech chaos! It is tastefully decorated and is spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds.
Said is an amazing host. He speaks 6 different languages (!!!) and makes sure your stay is as comfortable as possible! He is a busy man, but will treat you like you are family and gives you all the time and attention you need. He gave us great recommendations on where to eat and what to see in our short time. When we had a little issue with the heater in our room, Said was very quick to see into it and replaced the heaters for us very promptly.
Dinner is delicious and well worth it! Breakfast is also good with great strong coffee (or tea). Would also recommend getting a transfer from the airport as it may be a little hard to find the place on your first day.

Traditional riad with all comfort needed. Beautifully decorated. Said was such a good host, helping us with everything: walked us to the riad from where the taxis lets you (edge of the Medina), arranged for the luggages to be carried to the riad, attentive all along.
Cold walls, we stayed in February and it gets chilly during the night. Not such a big deal as tou can use the A/C for warm.

Good location, very attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Said was there wherever we had a question or needed help. Excellent food, both breakfast and dinner. We had a beautiful suite with two bedrooms, plenty of room for a family. I had a massage and it was very good.
