Very cute hostel in the middle of the touristic area of the city.
Lots of restaurants, bars, and coffee places nearby.
Everything is walkable.
The hostel is very clean in general, also the kitchen is very clean so it's nice to cook in it.
Very friendly vibes, and helpful staff members make you feel very welcome.
There is an Elevator.
It's nice and warm and cozy.

The female room was quite comfy, had a carpet and a sofa, which made an interior design a bit cozy despite that it had 5 bunk beds. The lockers are free to use, located in the room. The bathrom was okayish, out of room mixed with sink/mirror/hair dryer section and restrooms. They were clean and ok.
In the common area there were people that gathered and had a chat, so you could talk to someone, but it could be noisy at night.
Can't say anything. The place was worth its price. Maybe it wasn't very obvious to find the entrance, bcs Google maps showed it weird. In the end you had to go behind the restaurant to see the door and the hostel sign.

Unclean, there wasn't even soap in the bathrooms! I've stayed at a lot of hostels, so I'm not a priss. It was less like an actual hostel than someone who just happened to own property, put a bunch of bunk beds in it, and do the absolute bare minimum with little to no maintenance. I could feel the intimate outline of the springs in my mattress, by the way. You should know that depending on what room you get, it can be very loud as well, though that's not their fault. Still, there's no staff for several hours at a time and it was kind of odd to ask people to take their shoes off everywhere when I, like others, didn't really get the impression that the floor was clean enough to do so? Definitely never again.

My 4th time staying at Tree House over a 3-year period -- and most definitely I will stay there again. It was like coming home. The Hostel is spread over two floors & the top floor is considerably quieter than the reception floor. I "love-love-love" the energy & sense of community -- it's warm & welcoming, right from the start. The staff exudes warmth & caring. You can do your wash, make yourself a coffee or tea, sit together at the dining room & chat, play games, a broad range of people. At the same time, there are quiet spaces where you can read, write, go online. I taught an online class while there! The showers worked fine for me & the bathroom was clean, considering that the Hostel was full. The location is really central, just 10 minutes to the airport bus & in the heart of the Old City. No Hostel is perfect -- but the Owner is present, he's very warm & the Hostel on the whole tries hard to reach out! I would say that some of the complaints, it's simply the Tree House is working through glitches, like any Hostel that evolves over time. PS. I am a senior & I've stayed in many places in Europe -- I so like this place, so very much!
A few very small things. If people have issues with noise, perhaps the Hostel could offer ear plugs (??) Timing is everything when it comes to using the kitchen & dining area -- it can get crowded, including the fridge -- but, this is the reality in a hostel. None of these things bothered me at all. I travel with a range of earplugs!

The hostel has a unique vibe located inside the old town. The kitchen area is very cozy and clean and good place to meet other travelers. They have lockers with key so everything is easy and smooth.
The only downside was my bed that has the springs mattress coming out and they were really hard and very uncomfortable with the pillows that they were very thin and small.

The staff asked what bed I wanted upper or lower and allowed me to choose which is fantastic. There was a place to keep shoes outside and then go to room which I appreciate. They offered paper bags for free in common location when people go for shopping, appreciate the thought process to go green. They had free coffee tea in kitchen and free reading space like a mini library I liked it. Room was spacious for ten female dorm and well ventilated with charging plugs near bed. Comfortable comforter. Bed could have been a little bit more better but no complains just a suggestion.
I booked female only dorm so I can feel at ease but that night a guy told he was mistakenly given female room which I thought was ok. Next day morning I saw another guy sleeping in female dorm, it could not be a mistake that two men get placed in female dorm. Female

To start off, in terms of location, it doesn’t get much better. It’s in a square with plenty of restaurants and live music, and beyond easy to navigate. I never had to walk more than 20 minutes to go anywhere. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy, the bedding is nice and comfortable. I saw several reviews complaining about noise but that was not an issue for me. The ventilation outside of the window wasn’t any louder than a box fan, it honestly served as perfect white noise. I couldn’t hear any music from outside. They have an elevator which is a godsend if you have heavy luggage. It’s safe and secure, as a solo female traveler I didn’t worry for a split second. I will definitely be returning and recommending Tree House to anyone adventuring in Europe!
The lockers are very small, I’d honestly call them cupboards. I could fit a handbag in there and not much else. It’s a nonissue though, I never felt the need to hide or stow my belongings. That’s how safe I felt. The sinks in the 2nd floor bathroom had a bit of a draining problem and there was a decent amount of hair in the shower, but that’s what happens when you share facilities with tens of other people. Other than that, no complaints!
