Hotel Gutenbergs is family-run hotel set in the center of the Old Town of Riga, next to the Dome Square and Dome Cathedral. Located in 17th and 19th century connected buildings, guests can choose between luxurious chandeliers, high ceilings, historical engravings, paintings and antique furniture in one part of the hotel and 300-year old wooden balks, sloping floors and lower ceilings in the other. Decorated in a boutique style, rooms feature air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, mini bar, safe and warm blankets. Bathrooms offer a hair dryer and bio cosmetics. Upper class rooms boast a coffee machine for guests and Luxury Suite has bathrobes and slippers. Freshly ground coffee and a wide breakfast buffet with local delicacies are served every morning in Hotel Gutenbergs. Hotel’s restaurant features a summer terrace above the rooftops of the Old Town and offers meals from seasonal and local products. Reception is open around the clock and personnel will arrange tea, coffee, flowers, tickets to events, tour guides and taxis for each guest. We had dinner in the 5th floor restaurant which was wonderful with great staff and first-rate food. We left too early for breakfast.

Room interior looked 40 years old. I know that the vibe of the old town should present in this old building, and I like it in the hall, but the room.was very old. Bed small.

Staff overall were very friendly. Certeral location great for exploring the city.
Room service was done only every 2nd day. Restaurant/bar didn’t cater for guests, as one afternoon at 4pm we were told it was all reserved for later and no table was available for us.Breakfast area can be busy and is a bit to small for amount of guests.

Excellent staff, from the front desk to the cleaning crew. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast, with a great mix of local and general "Continental" options. And the location can't be beat. Highly recommended for travelers who want a quiet place from which to explore and enjoy Riga.

The room smelled musty and old. The carpet was suspicious and felt dirty, as did the curtains. The bed was so hard. There is a bar next door that has a DJ every night. It was so loud that I checked the decibels on my phone. The decibels were 90! I asked at 7pm when the DJ would end and they said it was only on that night. And that they would call them to stop if too loud. At 10pm I asked again. They told me to call them again at 11pm. I desperately wanted to go to bed and wake up rested for a morning tour. I called back at 11, and the staff told me they would call the bar, but the music never quieted. Between the DJ and the musty dusty smells of the outdated room, I would not recommend this hotel to anyonee. The breakfast was a good spread. Very German. Good coffee bread and cheese. Eggs were decent, bacon was too fatty and greasy to eat. Pastries were great. Location is good.

I had a very brief stay at the hotel, checking in after 10pm & leaving the next morning. The location is great & the hotel is quirky (in a good way). Earlier in the week a group of us dined at the hotel's rooftop restaurant, which is excellent.

Excellent location. Near to everything in old town. The staff at the front desk is exceptional working 247. Keita and Alexa are the best. Got me a taxi at 4:30am to go to the airport for my flight. Overall highly recommended.

Great service and excellent breakfast and fantastic location.
We were on the floor below the street. That room was small for two people. And the restaurant around the corner had a rather loud DJ at night and could be heard in our room.
