This place is delightful! Great central location- you can see the Christmas market from the entrance as it’s just one block away. Comfortable, clean rooms with heated floors in the bathroom - much appreciated in the winter! The sauna is also just what’s needed after a cold day spent outside. But the breakfast is the real winner here. We had mimosas every morning and be sure to try the sea buckthorn shot which is delicious.

Nice breakfast, rooms were decent but starting to show age. Location is great.
Parking was a mess. Prepaid 60 euros, was said there was a spot and there wasn't.

Perfect small boutique luxury hotel for a visit to Riga. From the concierge to the lobby bartenders belong with travel details to location 200m from town . And also very dog friendly. A big plus. A perfect hotel

The visit was exceptional. Cozy rooms, friendly staff, amazing food in the restaurant. As a cigar lover I was delighted by the hotel's bar ant it's cigar menu. I think, I found my Riga residence :)

Great location.
Old. Beautiful. Elegant.
As you would expect, the rooms are small and the bathroom is tight. Nonetheless, the hotel is in a perfect location to enjoy the old city center.

This is a really lovely hotel in a great location. It was super quiet and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
The bar is a cigar lounge and was always filled with smoke. It would be great if they had another bar because we never used it.

We were in the heart of old town Riga. We had a private tour guide who walked us through all of old town. It was easy to go back to the places where we wanted to spend more time to explore given the hotel's proximity to so many of Riga's historical sites. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has the charm of a historical hotel. A bit outdated but we were still pleased with our room and the hotel's amenities.
The bathrooms were a bit small and outdated for a five star hotel. No other complaints.

Disappointing
The location of the hotel was very good for seeing Riga. The valet was very helpful in carrying up our heavy suitcases up steep stairways. We enjoyed our time in the hotel bar where my husband was able to enjoy a cigar and a glass of scotch.
The entire visit was colored by the fact we did not get the room we had booked due to a large group and overbooking. We were made to believe that we were being given an upgrade but the room did not meet our expectations. When we expressed our concerns there was no attempt to remedy the situation. Instead we were made to feel ungrateful for being given a "better room". To make the situation even less enjoyable, the following morning at breakfast we were relocated from our table after being seated to accommodate the larger group and were not waited on until after the group despite having come in and ordered prior to the group. This hotel has gotten excellent reviews but I am sorry to say that the treatment we were given did not meet the expectations.

Breakfast was superb. Room was very clean with a great shower. Nice bed with the extra pillows I requested. Would stay there again
I hope that next time I return, the street construction outside is finished. It was the only negative but again it is not a fault of the hotel. They were great

The hotel is conveniently located in Riga's Old Town, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is copious and delicious, the rooms are nicely appointed, and we very much enjoyed the saunas in the basement. As a base of operations for beautiful Riga, the Grand Palace is a terrific option.

Breakfast was alright. Location is good.
One of the dirtiest stays we had in a while. The room was dirty, the teapot literally had mushrooms growing in it. We asked for an iron, and it came covered with some substance that stuck to anything you try to use it with.

Very nice room; spacious and comfortable and clean. Good breakfast (though the breakfast room tended to get filled to capacity).
We arrived by car from Vilnius, and found it impossible to reach the hotel because of road closures. We drove around for over 30 minutes and finally had the driver drop us off several blocks away — and had to drag our suitcases for the final stretch over cobblestone streets. When we arrived, the hotel name was hard to see — hidden under some ivy — and we weren’t even sure it was the right place. there was no porter, so we had to carry our luggage up steps and struggle with heavy doors. When we finally arrived at reception and complained the receptionist argued with us… took a while for the second staff member to come in and apologize for the inconvenience. After that, things were ok, but this incident made it clear to us that this place does not quite understand what service means.
