The hotel is located above a Restaurant with most of the staff doing double duty between the restaurant and the hotel. The staff, specifically Hamid, were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was super clean. The hotel was located directly across from a bus stop with free, easy and quick transportation down to the city center. The AC in the room worked wonderfully and was much needed during the extreme heat of the day.
The staff spoke little English and, with our French non-existent, this made for very difficult communications (they do speak fluent Italian and Portuguese). The staff also seemed more focused on their restaurant duties than to the hotel, though again, they were extremely helpful. There were numerous things within the room which did not work including the refrigerator, a broken shower head and a non functioning hair dryer. The room that we stayed on was located over a busy street. The windows are extremely sound proof but still did not block the sound of early morning traffic below. If you are driving in, be aware that there is only street parking available that is metered and requires replenishing either in person or by an app.

The air con in the room didn’t work and it was hot. We asked it drop off our luggage early and were advised to ring at noon and someone would let us in to drop bags off. We arrived an no one answered after multiple attempts

My family and I recently stayed at Il Piccolo Mondo Hotel in Luxembourg, and it turned out to be a really pleasant choice for our trip. The hotel offers great value for money, especially if you're looking for a comfortable base just outside the busy city center while still being able to reach the main attractions easily. It's tucked away in the quiet Hamm district, and the bus connections into downtown Luxembourg were quick and reliable, which worked well for us traveling as a family.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The bed was cozy, and we had everything we needed for our stay. What really stood out was the staff — they were warm and welcoming, and always happy to help whenever we had a question or needed something, which made a big difference traveling with kids.
We had breakfast at the hotel morning, and it was a real highlight, Overall, a great spot for families looking for comfort, a good breakfast, and easy access to the city without the noise and price tag of staying right in the center.

Nothing good about
-No iron to iron clothes.
-No slippers for the guest.
-No bath tub grippers, it is very easy for someone old or regardless of their age to fall and smack their head.
- Plenty of noise from other guests. At one point I could hear the sound of the aircraft’s passing by.
-At night the room was very hot.
- The breakfast was terrible. Just pastry and a boil egg is that breakfast even ?
- Overpriced definitely not worth it at all. This was a very bad experience for me.

I liked the breakfast, which was fresh and had a good variety of options. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, making the stay very relaxing. I also enjoyed the restaurant because the food was tasty and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The location is fine given that Luxembourg has good public transport.
The check in time is so late therefore I couldn’t store my luggage earlier.
Also, the hotel is quite old and you can hear noise when people are in the hallway or stairs. And you can also hear a lot of noise from airplane very early morning.

Overall the location was great, with 2 busses heading to center. The room was just enough for 2 persons if you intent to spend most time outside.
Overall no dislikes did not stay long enough. Maybe a bit more options for breakfast.
