The staff at Grand Hotel Cravat were so welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent. There was some noise on the weekends nights but the room had a/c, so we could close the windows. Excellent accommodation. We will stay there again.
A little busy just outside the front entrance with tour groups waiting to cross, but nothing to worry about. The location made it all worthwhile.

Excellent location, spacious rooms, great traditional breakfast, friendly staff.
If you arrive with lots of luggage, you will not be able to stop and drop them by car in front of the hotel. You'll need to park nearby and take your luggage over.

Loved the central location! The property was well-maintained. Evening staff especially was very friendly and helpful.

Our romantic room was situated with a fantastic view. The staff was professional and jovial. Exactly what I appreciate from staff. The stay was one of the highlights of our trip too Luxembourg.
The weather was warm. Sadly, the hotel cannot control the weather. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about.

Nice breakfast experience. Perfect location. The hotel has old retro vibes though rooms were clean.
No air conditioner unfortunately, but they give you a solid fan. The extractor fan in the bathroom had a little mold inside, surprisingly this is common issue for hotels in central Europe.

Good location with regards to proximity to shopping and museum district. Breakfast also was noteworthy.
Ever here the adage, location, location, location? Here, this hotel has two significant problems. Firstly, most rooms face the setting sun. My room was uninhabitable during the day and only began to cool down in the late evening. The second problem exacerbates the first- there is a carnival set up directly across the two-lane street afront the hotel. Frustratingly, the owner of said carnival rocks boom-boom music until the wee hours. Obviously, the staff has no control over these issues. Still, it's these two complaints that dictate the low score.

Very Good
Staying in the Cravat takes you back in time 100 years (in a good way). The whole hotel has the feel of an early 20th Century luxury hotel. The lobby, the bar area (which is super cool), the rooms, the elevators, all make you feel like you're visiting in 1900. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast -- including the room it is served in -- is among the best you'll experience. Ask most employees how long they've worked there and the answer is "20 years." Numerous famous people have stayed in the hotel over the years. And the views are great, especially if you face toward the bridge area.
There is no AC (aircon), so for hot summer days, it's open windows and, if you're lucky, a fan from the front desk (they don't have enough for every room though). The internet is a bit weak. Lastly, the shower tubs are very difficult to navigate. The tubs are rounded and can be quite slippery. For someone with a rounded bum sitting in the tub, I'm sure it's fine. :-) But for standing, it's a little scary. I'd be surprised if the hotel doesn't have slip-and-fall incident with some regularity. (Adding a metal handle bar on the wall might be helpful.) That said, I would stay here again.
