I've been in Sri Lanka for almost a month now and this is my absolute favorite guesthouse. I was meant to stay for 2 nights and I've already extended by several nights because I don't want to leave! As a solo female traveler it was especially nice to be greeted by Rosi and her daughters, Gangulali and Thapdai. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with them, learning about their studies and career and I especially loved chatting with Rosi throughout the days. She has an amazing heart, makes delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and tea and takes beautiful care of the grounds. Her flowers and plants are so well taken care of and if you aren't up for the going to the beach, their pool is the perfect place to relax. It is also the perfect place to work from if you are a remote worker. The neighborhood is great for meandering through and the locals are so happy to stop and say hello. If you are looking for a quiet retreat in the jungle and a place to land and regroup for a few days or more... you've found it! I will genuinely miss Rosi and Villa Talpe will always have a special place in my heart!

Beautiful villa with a gorgeous swimming pool. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We loved the family - they were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal that we ate at the villa. We also really loved the village, and the walk through the village to the beach, seeing every day Sri Lanka life.

Beautiful place, beautiful family hosts!
This is a great place to stay away from the chaos of the main beach areas, but still close enough to get a short ride in to those areas when you want to.
The walk to Talpe beach area is also a lovely walk through the friendly local village.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean and we loved waking up to the sound of nature.

Wonderful house in the middle of the forest. You can watch birds while swimming in the pool. The hosts are very nice and welcoming. The surrounding area is really nice to explore on foot.
The only thing that felt awkward was the two menus. One for locals and the more expensive one for tourists. But it seems like that’s normal in many places.

Rosi and her family were the most humble, caring and accommodating people. They took excellent care of us, making us feel comfortable and at home for the duration of our stay. The food was delicious, especially the tasty omelettes and fruits in the morning. The chicken curry and rice we had for dinner was so good, we had it every night of our stay. We loved the pool - a refreshing place to swim to cool us down from the heat. It was amazing to see monkeys, peacocks, chipmunks and all sorts of wildlife from our balcony. The location was also great being tucked out of the way l and felt local. It was a convenient bus ride away from Galle Fort. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here, especially the hosts and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you ?.

Absolutely all... Hosts were the best people we met during our trip across Srí Lanka. Host are very friendly, always with smile. Helping you with everything you want. Their smiles we will remeber forever. You can choose from english and local breakfast, we tried both. Local breakfast are very great i can recommend them. Beach is 1km ahead by walk, where is also many restaurants if you want. If we will go again to Srí Lanka, for sure we will visit again Villa Talpe <3

Stay with the most lovely family in a very nice villa in the middle of the jungle. The villa is located in a cozy village with only very few tourists, good local restaurants and very nice beaches. Travel to Galle is very comfortable by either bus, train or Tuktuk.

It was a great vacation! First of all, I liked the very friendly host family! Also, they keep order in the house and on the territory, it is very, very clean there, and delicious breakfasts and lunches are also offered. Rooms with excellent interiors, as well as a delightful rooftop with a view of the jungle. The location is very convenient, you can easily get to Unawatuna or Weligama or to the local beautiful beaches by bike or tuk tuk. Thanks for your warm welcome!

we had a beautiful stay in Talpe! It was like in paradies, with roof terasse, watching birds and monkeys. The crew was incredible friendly and helpful. The environment is also nice and the beaches are superb with their clear water.
We are looking forward our next stay! And we recommend the Villa Talpe to everybody. 5/5!
