Wonderful
The view across the lake from the large terrace was simply stunning. Even with an occasional train or boat passing, it was a very relaxing place to read a book and chill for a few hours. The host family was so sweet and accomodating to our taste in breakfast. We had a few dinners there as well, and especially the curries were super tasty. The room itself was very large, well furnished and comfortable with both a fan and aircon. We found it to be a very relaxing place to unwind for a few days and really felt time flew by, even though we were taking things very slowly.
The host family has two dogs, who at your first encounter can be quite intimidating - so make sure to arrange to be greeted at the gate, and don't just walk in. Once they've had the chance to say a proper hello, they're simply lovely creatures. When you arrive to the villa, make sure to go up the SECOND little road counted from the lake, not the first as Google Maps suggests as that will be a dead end for you.

Incredible location - right by the lake so very quiet and secluded. The host family are all lovely and very welcoming. Booked tuk tuks for me whenever I needed and every single meal I had was absolutely delicious. The room has everything you need - very clean with good water pressure and comfy bed.
The only issue was finding it when I arrived. The address takes satnav to the wrong road - it’s actually just off Hamalanka Nahimi road. Apart from that, everything was perfect!

A peaceful paradise right on the lake. I came here for a mini retreat and it was so perfect. The family are so warm and friendly and took such beautiful care of me. The food was absolutely delicious too! I didn’t leave the place for 2 whole days and had everything I needed in one place.
On first arrival you need to call to be let into the gate because of the dogs. Once you’ve been inside and they know you are a friend the two dogs are very relaxed and friendly. It’s only a very small inconvenience but it’s good to know before you come.

This place is just amazing!! It’s a piece of paradise, so quiet and peaceful, the best spot to relax in this area for sure! The owner family is extraordinarily kind and friendly, always there whenever you need something, but still always respecting your privacy. The room is big, well equipped and superclean, couldn’t ask for more. And as cherry on top of all this goodness is to mention the food, which is always freshly cooked and just delicious. I so much enjoyed my stay here that I kept extending because it was too hard to leave …

The house is just perfect. You can sit by the lake and just relax with an amazing view. The place ja also very calm. Its located close to the stick fishermen beach, not far away from the main road. The room is very spacious and clean. The owners are really kind, hospitable, helpful. They came to talk a little and treated us with coconuts. We were really grateful. Breakfast was basic but its was very enough. We got good Tea and big fruit platter. There is nothing that could be improved. I highly recommend this place.
