I stayed for 16 nights. First of all, Janaka and Taru are wonderful people who took care of all my needs, they were always interested in my satisfaction, giving me good advices during my stay. I felt like I was in good hands, like part of the family, also with the other people who stayed there. The room was clean and well-equipped, hot water in the shower, air conditioning worked great, The WIFI was very good. The lobby and balconies are well-equipped. The villa is located in a fairly central and quiet place, close to the beach and away from the busy road. There is a fully equipped kitchen that allows you to prepare meals. I felt lucky to have chosen to stay in such a place.

Janaka was very attentive and helpful with our stay. Only good things to say about this place and the entire family. He upgraded our room and gave us a private bathroom at no cost. The room was spacious and had an awesome balcony to dry clothes and enjoy the day. Kitchen is well stocked with pretty much anything you need. Quiet place to relax and enjoy the birds and monkeys.
Watch what you leave outside during the daytime. A troop of monkeys came by and stole our monocular. This was no ones fault but our own. Hopefully it learns how to use it!

Amazing location, 10 mins walk to Kabalana beach. Rooms are clean, spacious and airy, unlike most properties in the area. Kitchen and all shared amenities are very well maintained. We stayed for 6 nights and mostly cooked our meals on our own as the kitchen felt like home. They have a nice seating area with tables and chairs. Mr Janaka & Tarun were amazing hosts, very warm and kind people. They even invited us for new years meal. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to surf in Kabalana beach

Beautiful Villa, with local family. We enjoyed the shared terrace with dining table and lounge chairs for meals. Very handy to have access to kitchen and large fridge. Mosquito nets great. 10 minutes walk to main part of kabalana beach and 1 minute to local small shop - ice creams and water. Very good value.
Kitchen could be cleaned by staff daily to try prevent ants. More plug in fans for communal area, especially kitchen which got very hot.

Janaka and his family were all absolutely lovely and attended to everything you needed - even cutting me some aloe vera out of his garden when I got super burnt surfing! The location is fantastic, 5 minutes walk to Kabalana beach (along the beach)! It is fantastic value for money.

Janaka and his family are the most hospitable, warm and welcoming people I’ve come across. He cares deeply about your stay and has a lovely house with very comfortable beds. The villa is situated 500m from the beach & the surroundings are lovely.

Great hospitality by Janaka and his family. While I was there, it was the 1st birthday of his son, and he invited all the guests to join the party. Very sweet.
They cook great food for you on request.
The balcony is really nice. Access to kitchen is convenient.
Good value for money. Location is quiet but close to the beach.
Basic, but comfortable room.
There's a resort nearby that sometimes does loud parties on weekend nights. I'm relatively sensitive to noise, and with my earplugs it was not an issue at all. But it might bother someone else.

Excellent location close to the most amazing beach in Sri Lanka- Kabalana. Villa is run by an amazing and lovely family, delicious breakfasts and dinners were cooked by the owner's mother and the owner is the most helpful person I have met, he assists with anything you need. There is an AC in the room, kitchen to prepare your own meals and large terrace to spend time chatting with the interesting and good people.The villa is very spacious and has an excellent value for the price. Wanted to stay for 3 nights but stayed for 2 weeks because Janaka and his family were very friendly to us.
Janaka helped us in everything throughout the whole time.
He organized excursions around Sri Lanka for us, fed us delicious breakfasts and lunches, and even drove us to a new place.
And Janaka's mother knitted a beautiful hat for our baby.
