Absolutely loved this place. the stunning scenery, the peace and quiet, surrounded by wildlife. The room was clean and spacious.
The hosts have to be the nicest couple I have ever met, nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely big breakfast on the balcony, watching the monkies swinging about in the trees.

When we arrived after a long flight, we were welcomed so warmly by Chira and Gaya. They are very nice people who make you feel at home right away. The rooms are super clean and a very spacious bathroom. The view at breakfast is really beautiful. We stayed here for 4 nights but we could have stayed longer. It is perfect!!

Chira and his wife couldn't be more accommodating. Very generous breakfast and always responsive to any questions we had. Provided great recommendations on places to visit throughout our stay. Lovely pool and nice spacious rooms.

The stay was amazing, loved being surrounded by the jungle. We had monkeys join us for breakfast on one day. Chira and Gaya are such a lovely couple and the really went out of their way to make the stay so special. They even made us a packed breakfast when we checked out early on the last day. The rooms were huge and spacious, very bright and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was very clean and refreshing. Very peaceful place away from the busy roads and beaches. Hopefully will be back some day.

We liked the quiet setting, the green surroundings. Watching and listen I’m my to the birds. Especially the kingfisher. The breakfast was also excellent

Calm and tranquil place. Great hosts who make your stay very comfortable. They could not be more helpful. Excellent breakfast. Lovely pool.
Access is tricky if you are older. A steep access slope and steps. But the hosts will be happy to carry luggage and assist you so not really a problem.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was excellent there was always delicious fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order as well as toast and a different tasty treat every day.
The location was good it was a short walk to the nearest beach and restaurants. Tuk tuks were very easy to find if we didn’t fancy the walk and the host Chira has a tuk tuk and gave us several lifts for a small charge. The service and hospitality were excellent. The situation in the jungle was amazing, there was much to see and hear from the wildlife living there.

Everything was beyond any expectations. Chira and Gaya are the most hospitable hosts ever. They are very attentive to every need of their guests. The villa is located on a hill in a quiet area with a view over a jungle. Without even leaving the premises you can enjoy the wildlife - parrots, chipmunks, monkeys, varans etc.
The nearest beach is 10 min walk. Unawatuna beach is easily reached by tuktuk.
Breakfast is really good. We stayed for 9 days and every day Chira and Gaya tried to regale us with something new.
Everything is very clean, rooms are spacious.
Highly recommended!!!

Chira and Gaya are just wonderful human being and the place is magic and perfectly entertained. Our host are very kind, more than respectful and always ready to help if needed.
The place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet and natural place. The pool is a real plus even if I did not use it.
Tips, Better to rent a bike if you want to visit the area beyond unawatuna. Ask Chira ;)

Chira and Gaya are perfect happy hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Lovely Gaya is a wonderful cook, taking her mother's recipes, the breakfasts were delicious, varied and filled us up for the day until we came back for her lovely home made curry and rice Chira is man mountain carrying our heavy bags for us and giving us all the information of the area. The whole place was squeaky clean. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with everything you need. Oh and the bed was super comfortable, the best sleep in Sri Lanka! And great pool whilst watching the monkeys play in the trees. I could go on. Don't hesitate. Just book it!

We were welcomed with open arms and smiles by a beautiful couple.
Our room was located on the top floor with amazing views to the front of the infinity pool and surrounding jungle, so you can watch the monkeys, birds and insects.
The breakfast was amazing and beautifully presented with flowers, alot of attention to detail, in respect of crockery and design.
The room had x1 large kingsize bed and a single, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, safe and hairdryer but lacked electrical sockets and mood lightening (a small reading lamp or similar).
Trips can be organised, as well as tuk tuk ride (at additional cost).

Some of the reasoning for marking the property lower:
1) Steep climb to reach villa so need to be sturdy on your feet as can slipperary in wet weather.
2) The chant of the monks can wake you up very early in the morning (4.30 am), so depending on your perspective this is both a positive/negative. 3)The property next door can be noisy with music. 4) Constant requests for pictures so they can refresh media (got rather frustrating)

The hosts were the most wonderful people we have met. They couldn’t do enough to help us and immediately made us feel at home. The location was so lovely! It’s a little out of Uluwatuna but easily accessible by tuk tuk, but it’s in the jungle where you can wake up to monkeys and peacocks roaming around. It’s so peaceful away from the busy road.

Quiet, green, helpful sweet managers, easy communication. Easy transport with own tuktuk. Good swimming pool....
Breakfast could be better, more special for that price ... ( more Sri Lanka options , croissants, honney, Nutella... ) . But is was very beautiful decorated .

We stayed at this guesthouse for 16 days. And I can say one thing, I felt at home. Everything was just fabulous!
The owners Chira and Gaya are the kindest and nicest people I have ever met, they did everything possible for a comfortable stay at the hotel, at any time were in touch and helped if necessary. Once again, thank you so much for making my holiday more wonderful!
Now about the guesthouse itself: it is a 15-minute walk from the turtle beach, a little on a hill. The view and nature are just incredible. The hotel area is not large but always tidy, there is a swimming pool where you can swim 24/7) (the owners take care of it every day, which is very nice).
The room we stayed in had everything we needed: air conditioning, mini fridge, safe, beach towels. The room itself is very spacious and comfortable.
Overall, the stay at the hotel was very nice and comfortable. I recommend everyone who visits Unawatuna to stay at Green Hills Paradise.

We had a fabulous few days at Green Hill Paradise Villa. Location is great as away from the hustle and bustle, but still an easy walk to the beach. Facilities were excellent and rooms were spotlessly clean. Hosts were very attentive and helpful and breakfast was delicious.
