Host offer us welcome cup of tea, it was really nice. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious! Mohan is the best guide for Safari! We saw the best places and animals. He takes care of everything. He helped us to catch a bus. I recommend this place everyone:)

The owner, Mohan, is very kind and welcoming. The safari was very well organised, we were first at the national Park gate. He provided us with hot snacks and water before the safari.
The rooms are basic, but I guess you don’t need much more when you stay there for one night. Rooms are clean and the AC is working.

Safari was the best! Mohan is an experienced tour guide. We were the first at the park and he showed us some hidden gems. Totally recommend. Wifi was like the fastest we had during our trip at Sri Lanka. Good and big breakfast.
Towels and bed sheets were not fresh at all, they were bit dirty and smelly. Room in general was clean, bathroom was not bad. Please improve it, it is not a big cost but it would improve our stay tremendously.

W stayed in Walawe Park View Hotel primarly for safari trip, and would definitely recommend, if you want to have a great guide! We were first in the park, and had an option to see more animals, as they were not disturbed by other cars. The stay itself was adequate to the price.

Mohan,the owner of the place is the best one if you are looking for safari trip. He does know every spot where elephants are and other animals. His knowledge is outstanding and we would recommend him for safari trip.
The guest house is near to the bus stop and also he helps us out to catch bus from his house to our next destination.

I will start with a room. For this price for night it was amazing. The room was clean, clean bed, there is a mosquito net, we even got a small flower on a bed, it was very nice, a place to sit outside the room and chill in the evening. Mohan is very kind, helpful, and his whole family is very friendly. You can eat there a big and tasty breakfast and after a safari we ate delicious curry!
About a safari. it is just perfect. Mohan knows every path in this park. He finds elephants in not so popular areas and we were with elephants like 30 min alone. He has knowledge about animals in the park, and finds them in the bushes! We saw so many animals! He answers all the questions and we even saw like a 2 days old elephant!! He’s a perfect guide and safari with Mohan is just hard to describe. Safari was long and just amazing, he doesn’t look at others that they drive 2,5 hour and bye. If you still wonder choose Mohan. And staying there after safari is even better because you can eat at his place, and chill outside.
Thank you Mohan for this. It will be in our memory forever!!
-Maybe water was going slowly but it is very common in Sri Lanka, so actually it was all good

We booked room for one night before safari with Mohan. Wifi was great and there was hot water. All family were very friendly and made really delicious dinner. When we wanted drink a beer at evening, Mohan went a store and buy it for us. Great location close to Safari.

the location was perfect if you would like to visit National park. People was friendly and also we book the safari with the owner and it was more than perfect. He has so much knowledge and he found few nice spots where we were alone for 30min watch the elephant (not everybody was that lucky).
The room wasn’t clean and the condition of the mattress and cushions was really bad.

Before I begin note that we chose the cheapest room, so that's the standard of this review.
I'd say that I paid a fair price for what I've got. Yes, the room certainly needs to be renovated but it was clean, there were towels, fan and a mosquito net. The water in the shower wasn't hot, but we didn't need it anyway, because it was very warm at night. No toilet paper, but it's not a surprise in Sri Lanka. Comfortable bed. We've also got a welcome tea and bought breakfast, which was big, tasty and for a very good price. Hosts are very nice, they help you with everything.
And just FYI: we paid a 10% service fee which was included in our bill.
That's all about the property. If I rated safari with Mohan, I would give it 11/10. Totally recommended. Mohan knows the secret paths, can find animals in bushes in which you would never see anything (and does it while driving), wants to show you as many animals as he can and he does the best to meets the clients' expectations. He also knew some polish words and names for animals and is willing to learn more. Definitely one of the best experiences in Sri Lanka.
I don't think that I should complain about anything for this price. Just keep in mind that the standard will be probably lower than in another places but if you stay one night and you want to go to an EXCELLENT safari, it's OK.
