Private cabanas, big rooms, comfortable beds with good mosquito nets and a kettle. Incredibly lovely hosts, organised a safari for us and delicious dinner and breakfast. Would absolutely stay again!!

Nature friendly and beautiful clay cottages with quiet surrounding . Very friendly staff and we tasted yummy food there.They organized a great safari for a fair price. We highly recommend this nice place to others. Definitely we will come back..

A small local family business who really want to make sure you have a good stay at their place - incredibly helpful with advice and support in organising a safari in the national park nearby - excellent home cooked food at very reasonable prices

The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. The yard is amazing and the owners extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. We absolutely recommend this place.

We were very Pleased with the place and were warmly welcomed. The Dinner & Breakfast were very delicious. The Property Cools well and in nicely laid out with plants & Spices. The family is super Sweet & also organized great safari for us. The Driver mocked a lot of animals and put us in good positions. we would recommend the place and safari at any time.

Lovely place to stay and to experience a fantastic safari.Sadun and his wife are so friendly and cook traditional and delicious food.the bed was really comfy and the apartment very clean.we enjoyed the warm shower.Highly recommended.

Hosts are superb and any time there to help. They organized excellent safari for fair price. We enjoyed yummy breakfast and dinner their. It's easy to reach to hotel by public transport .Natural environment with clay cottages are amazing. We highly recommended this hotel to other guests who hope to travel Udawalawa ..

The hosts are very kind, they provided us with all the information we needed and even stay with us until the bus came to be sure that we take the right bus!! Thank you very much!!! The food at the cottage is gorgeous. Totally recommended to eat there also because the options to eat in Udawalawa are very limited. We went to the safari with Sandun, a guide that works with the cottage, and it was a really nice experience. He takes all the time you need to see the elephants. Thank you! We will come back!

The accommodation offered unbeatable value for money. Initially unsure about booking a safari, we were relieved that it wasn't mandatory. The family was exceptionally friendly. I admired the architectural style of the accommodation, and the room was very spacious. We had a cozy stay.
The accommodation lacks protection from insects due to its surroundings. We had dinner, and it seemed like we received leftovers from another group, as the food, apart from the rice, was cold.

We had an awesome stay at the Sandalwood cottage. The family is very friendly, warm and welcoming and the breakfast that was included in the price was great! Also, the dinner and lunch that we asked for additionally was very delicious. The room was very comfortable and it was great to just sit and relax in front of our cabin and see a lot of different plants and colourful birds. There are some insects in the cabin, but due to the mosquito net that fitted very well above our large bed, that did not bother us. We would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful place. Thank you for everything! ?
