I really liked the breakfast, it was fresh and tasty. Lovely hotel in Udawalawa with a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay for travelers planning a Udawalawa National Park safari. Good value for money and highly recommended.

A super friendly and helpful host, who made us really welcome. The pool was a great bonus - just what we needed after a long days travel. Room was very large, very comfortable and had great facilities. We even had our evening meal here at a reasonable cost. Very good accommodation - would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
They do their own safari tours but we had already booked one with a different company prior to arrival, so didn't get the chance to go with them.
Nothing. All good. We left very early - a packed up breakfast would have been nice, but definitely not a deal breaker

The hosts were fabulous and couldn't do enough, and the meals (we ate there) were also very good, plentiful and excellent value.
The town itself has very little to offer, which has no reflection on the hotel, but means you rely on it a little more, and the rooms, although comfortable, are lacking. With only one electrical point, no music, no TV, no tea/coffee, etc, meant relaxing in the room was less comfortable.

After arriving at a booking that did not meet our expectations, we had a quick reshuffle and found Ibis. It was a very last minute booking so when we arrived the rooms were still being cleaned. During this time we were greeted with hospitality and welcome drinks.
Our rooms were perfect for our needs and the clean pool was an added bonus.
Our host Saranga was exceptional, and there for our every need.
The only down side was breakfast wasn’t on par with all of our other stays.

We are Paola and Silvano from Italy, travelling through Sri Lanka by bicycle. We spent three nights at Ibis and were welcomed by Sarangha as if we were family. Sarangha and her husband Sarath are very kind and helpful people, always smiling. Sarangha took care of us with grace and kindness, always ready to respond to every need, from the tuk tuk to the safari. The most important thing is that she told us that she could organize it for us at a good price (excluding the entrance ticket to the park) but without any obligation, initially we did not want to organize it and instead, after visiting the Elephant Transit Home, we changed our minds, it was an excellent choice and also the person who accompanied us was kind and trustworthy. We also had dinner at Ibis, very tasty home made meals and also a good breakfast.
The room was confortable clean and spacious, we chose the one at ground floor, but there are also at the first floor with balcony. We also could do the laundry.
We didn't use the pool, but it's very scenic and relaxing even if you don't want to swim.
We also had some time to talk with Sarangha and Sarath and it was really interesting share some experiences with this lovely family. Thank you very much for everything!

This hotel is run by a very friendly family. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast is delicious! The hotel also offers competitive-priced safari tours, and, most importantly, it doesn't force its guests to use their safari services, unlike other hotels.

Lovely 2 bedroom apartment style place! A short tuk tuk away from the elephant orphanage et al. Nice little pool! Very accommodating hosts and a nice breakfast.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at IBIS, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way.The location is fantastic, close to all major facilities and very easily accessible. The property is immaculately maintained by the owner and his wife, who clearly take great pride in ensuring a tidy and clean environment.The service, cleanliness, and meals were all top-notch, far surpassing what I anticipated. The staff was incredibly supportive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. They even helped arrange a safari for us at a very reasonable price, which was a wonderful experience.
One of the highlights of the stay was their lovely swimming pool, which was clean and well-maintained. The place is not crowded, allowing us to enjoy a calm and serene environment throughout our stay. It’s clear they strive to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for their guests.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and great value for money. I’ll definitely return on my next visit!

We recently stayed at Hotel Ibis in Udawalawe, Sri Lanka, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel's serene garden setting provided a peaceful retreat, and our room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The air conditioning and comfortable bedding ensured a restful night's sleep.
The highlight of our stay was the exceptional hospitality of the host, Sarath. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering personalized service and attending to our every need. Sarath also organized a memorable safari tour for us at Udawalawe National Park, providing insightful information about the local wildlife.
The on-site restaurant served delicious Sri Lankan cuisine, and we particularly enjoyed the hearty breakfast each morning. The hotel's proximity to the Elephant Transit Home and Udawalawe National Park made it an ideal base for exploring the area's attractions.
Overall, our stay at Hotel Ibis was outstanding, thanks to Sarath's kindness and the comfortable accommodations. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Udawalawe.

The rooms are very spacious and furnished as normal rooms. It felt much more like a flat than a hotel room. The washroom was super clean, as well as the whole hotel.
The swimming pool was very clean and inviting.
We had a last minute check in after another accommodation scammed us and all was ready. The host was really nice and helpful. She offers a jeep for a safari for a fair price.
The breakfast could be a bit richer. Toast was served with egg and cheese with the addition of toasts with jam.
This is more of a feedback than a criticism, but the host was almost too nice. I did a short mermaid performance in the pool for her daughter and it was amazing. But then we were just sitting by the pool with my partner and she was still coming. We politely tried to say "good night" several times but without success, so we had very little privacy. Something similar happened in the morning. The host is really sweet and kind, but this was a bit uncomfortable.

The best part is the host, very kind and helpful. The host managed an amazing safari with a driver who really seemed to care abou the animals and made our trip special. At the hotel we really appreciated the pool which is clean and nice. Dinner and breakfast was the best
homecooked meal we have tried in Srí Lanka.

Very Poor
The room was not cleaned properly and we were charged a lot for our safari. Only two elephants were seen during the 6-hour safari. The owner was not kind and put us through a lot of trouble. Would not recommend at all.
