We were very lucky to stay at Hashan's and his family's hotel. A cozy hotel, a very hospitable family. His wife cooked a very delicious dinner, even baked a super birthday cake!
We also had a few days Kandy/Ella/Sigiriya tour and safary with Hashan and it was really a great and unfogettable experience.
He knows a lot about his country, has a perfect sense of humour, also he is a very helpful and kind person.
Highly recommend the hotel to stay, also Hashan as a perfect guide!

Our family was lucky to book safari with Chill House Safari Resort owner Hashan, that was the best experience we could expect!
He knew exactly where to find different species and made sure we got incredible sightings. Every question we had about the animals, he answered with enthusiasm and expertise.
Beyond his skills, he was incredibly attentive and caring, always making sure we were comfortable and having a great time. If you're looking for a safari guide who is passionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated, look no further! Highly recommended!
The stay at Chill House Safari Resort was very pleasant, rooms were spacious, comfy and clean.
The floor in the bathroom is very slippery, just be careful:)

Great value for money. We are a fanily of 5 with 3 children and we hat a perfect stay the hotel met all our needs. Hashan has to be the best safari tour guide in the area. The park can be crowded, but he managed to get us out of the traffic jams and most of the time we were alone in the park. We were supposed to be finnished at 1330 but he wanted to give us a Even better experience, so he continued until 17.

Apartment located in beautiful surrounding. Hashan helped us to arrange taxi driver, massage. He also was our guide and driver on Safari. Comfortable place to stay, everything as in description. Extremely helpful and kind owners. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Really easy and quick communication with the owner. We really recommend to stay at this house and also take trip to safari :)

we stayed at the Chill House for two nights to do the safari and we can highly recommend it. not only that the rooms are really nice and clean, but also Hashan is a really nice guy and welcomed us in the best way he could. he helped us where ever he could. We did also the safari with him and that also was the best experience we could get. you can really tell that he is doing his safaris with passion.

It was our best experience on our whole SriLanka-Trip! Hashan an his family are so nice people, super friendly and very welcoming. We even met hashans friends (which are by the way running an amazing restaurant next door...ask for the black curry if you are not afraid for spicy;)) and his family. Hashans wife amazed us with some delicious rice-and-curry-dinner.
Hashan is the best safari guide, nothing goes past his eagle-eyes. And he knows everything about the Udawalawa-NP.
We highly can recommend a Chill-house-Experience and we will be back soon for sure!

Hashan and his family were amazing! They arranged a taxi for us from Dickwella to their resort. Our room was so clean and comfortable, especially the bed, we were so relaxed there. We went to the safari with Hashan as our driver, which was a great day for a really good price. You can tell that he cares about the animals which was very important to us. His wife had made a delicious and very filling breakfast for us. All in all they are very accommodating and can recommend it for everyone!

We came for two nights and had a wonderfull stay at the Chill House. Hashan is not only the manager, hes also a very experienced tour guide. We did a unforgettable halfday safari in the National Park and can highly recomend to do this tour whit him! Even beside the tour he was very kind and helpful arround our stay.

We stayed at Chill House Safari resort and also did the safari with our host, Hashan. Our room and bathroom were clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location was peaceful and surrounded by trees and wildlife while still close by the main road. We decided to have one meal at the accommodation and Hashan went out to find all the specific ingredients to make polos, which we really wanted to try. It was delicious!?His wife and son were also very nice and always around.
Our safari tour with the family went great too! It’s totally worth it. We saw quite a lot of elephants and many other animals in the park. Hashan really knows his way around well and is great at spotting anyone hiding in the bushes or trees. He also answered all of our questions about the different species.
Overall, we recommend the whole experience offered at Chill House Safari Resort!❣️

Hashan and his family are so friendly and lovely. He organized the Safari with care. There were almost no other Jeeps around and we could watch so many elephants.

The property is in a beautiful area surrounded by nature. Hashan and his family are absolutely amazing, they made us feel very welcome, sorted everything we needed, and made sure our stay was perfect. We had a huge breakfast both mornings and Sri Lankan curry & rice for dinner which were both delicious, thanks to Hashan’s wife! We did an afternoon safari with Hashan and it was everything we hoped for and more. We cannot recommend this family-run hotel more!
The WiFi is a little bit intermittent but it really doesn’t matter in a place so beautiful :)

I liked everything! This family it's absolutely beautiful: Hashan, Nilu et their son are adorable.
Me and my new friend Anne did a Safari with Hashan and we had a chance to see lots of elephants ? and monkey and also a crocodile ? he knows very well Udawalawe!
Also, Nilu she cooks extremely well and I had the first Kottu Roti of my life and it was just delicious, breakfast as well!

Staff were very accommodating and room was very comfy. Shower was also great. Outside our room was a balcony overlooking an amazing view of Ella Rock.
We had to drop our bags off for a few hours after check out time and staff helped us and even offered us tea and coffee. Centre of Ella was only a 15-20 minute walk away.

Wow, everything! I had to book last minute and they were so accommodating, even with the electricity out for the day. You need to stay here for your visit to Udawalawe!! They have their own safari car and do very good rates for the safari, while the guide is very knowledgable and fun to have guiding around the park! The rooms are amazing for the price and the staff are the best I have had since traveling here!
