Peaceful yet closely located to town for shops and restaurants. Great wildlife nearby. Safari driver is one of the best. Rooms huge, pool great size for kids and food in restaurant is best in Sri Lanka and great price.

The location is wonderful, especially if you are doing safari. The owner was nice, offering tours, etc.
The size of the room was excellent, all the appliences were present and working.
We really wanted to like this place, as it offers many amenities that seem ideal for a relaxing stay — a swimming pool, separate cottages, and expansive green spaces. The reality turned out to be somehow different.
First, the swimming pool water was not as clean as we expected. The water was milky and we found out that the filtration system is turned off when the pool is not in use, which likely explains the water quality.
The rooms are large but incredibly dark. The lighting is weak, the brown walls make the space feel depressing, and the wooden windows only add to the claustrophobic atmosphere. It's baffling that a property in such a beautiful natural setting would have rooms designed to make you feel like you're staying in a cave rather than embracing the outdoors.
Additionally, the property is situated in a swampy area, so we were surprised to find that there were no mosquito nets on the windows. A better solution, like mosquito nets or electric repellents, would have made the stay much more comfortable. Even the mosquito net provided over the bed was too small and didn’t fit properly.
Lastly, the cleanliness of the bathroom was a major concern. Even with the dim lighting, it was clear that it had not been properly cleaned. Lifting the toilet seat revealed an unpleasant surprise that left us quite disappointed.
We ended up leaving early the next morning and won't be returning

Very nice stuff, owner Manju, can organize you great safari. We were driven buy one of personel, had a great experience!
Breakfast very rich and very good.
Place also have their own restaurant, recommend to try as much as you can, very tasty food.
Nice pool great for cooling down after safari. Quiet and exotic place.

It was a great visit! The hotel is situated in a nice area with a possibility to relax and enjoy the surroundings. One of the staff members took us on a walk to look for crocodiles, birds and unusual plants. Great opportunity to explore the rural area. The food was good as well as the pool.

This place is a true heaven in sri lanka. Its like jungle style with beutiful pool and wonderful garden. We didnt eat but tripadvisor says they have one of best restaurants. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. Also pool is big and clean for swimming. Owner can arrange you safari in yala (but yala safari for my opinion is waste of money, overcrowded and we hardly saw any animal).
No card payment (like in most other srilankan hotels). Far away of everything (but this is maybe a good thing)

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Took us on a walk around the lake, organised a safari and kept our 2 year old constantly supplied with banana's.
The room was also bigger than expected with and additional small room we didn't see in the photos with a fridge and kettle.
Bumpy ride to get to the place and a bit out of the closest town but it didn't matter as it was a great spot to relax and eat anyway.

Just note that if you intend to make a safari, the prices are almost twice as expensive as if you go in the city. Another point: impossible to pay by card.

Everything. It was nice to arrive somewhere it was as described. Lovers it.
The track to it was bumpy and as it had rained you need to drive with care. BUT don’t let it put you off as place is lovely

We had contact with the owner prior the the arrival and organized a safari with him. The safari was good, we saw many animals and the driver left the animals space if they needed or wanted to cross the road.
The place itself is nice, very big houses and a huge bed. With AC nice temperature in the room. The area around the houses is well cared for and there is a nice pool and even the possibility to walk to a lake nearby (we didn't do it, as it was dark).
We ate diner there and it was very nice, also the packed food for the safari was delicious.
Sadly the driver of the organized safari had very limited english skills.
The place is a bit off the main part, but to be honest, there aren't more restaurant in the 'city' so eating at the hotel is perfectly fine.
The mosquito net was too small for the bed, but with AC we had no problem with them anyways.

Wonderful
A very quiet jungle type accommodation. Lovey cottages with lots of space and a veranda. Nice clean swimming to relax after a trek in the Jungle. One of the staff took for an evening tour around the lake. No charge, it was nice to all the wild birds. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Manju, the owner, is an official Tour Guide, so if you need help in visiting places, Manju is your man.

This is very peaceful place, few cottages in the middle of nowhere. Peacocks are walking around, you can hear birds singing all the time.
I would work on rooms cleanliness.
