Excellent service by Chaminda. He was kind enough to arrange for a free tuktuk to go to the nearby restaurant for dinner when it was raining heavily. Also it was very sweet of him to welcome us with good wood apple juice and 3 mangoes to go. Thank you very much Chaminda for your services !
The room facilities included an electric kettle and flat screen TV both of which were not present in our room.

I would 100% recommend this property if you are doing yala park. Gayan and Manori were amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. They even recommended great restaurants in the area. Gayan provided a wonderful trip to yala park and even let us check in early and check out late to fit around our safari tour. He was great at spotting all the wildlife and also an amazing driver. In terms of the property it was very good value for money. It was very well kept, clean and with new facilities (ie bathroom). It’s a beautiful location with wildlife surrounding you. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Tissamarama.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and safari. The cabins are set back in a lovely garden, but have all modern conveniences inside. The hosts run a very good safari tour and will go out of their way make sure all your needs are taken care of. Breakfast on the patio of the cabin was also a treat. Overall, a great choice.

Location for Yala safari. Owner made sure we had a breakfast packed for a very early departure (0430), and allowed us to quickly change and wash up before departing after our safari experience. Best deal I have ever had for a night’s stay. Very clean and roomy and comfortable!

This place is a real gem. The bungalow is spacious, modern, with cool air conditioning and a fridge. The surroundings are lush and you can sit and watch nature. It was paradise for us. The owners are lovely too, welcoming us with tea. We also booked a safari through them and it was great. They packed us a breakfast to go for the day. Restaurants are also close by. Highly recommend!

This was one of our best stays so far. The bungalows are in a beutiful garden, which feels like jungle. Its so calm and the host family is super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, nice AC and a good breakfast. We also can highly recommend doing the safari directly them!

Totally recommended! Great location, clean, cozy room (also has a fridge - not easy to find in Sri Lanka) and above all, kind, sweet and polite hosts!!!! The landlady woke up eraly in the morning (really early) before our safari just to prepare breakfast so that we have it with us!!! Totally worth staying in Amazon Cabanas!!

Gayan and Manori are wonderful hosts who provided a delicious breakfast and facilitated an amazing safari.
Their cabanas are spacious, clean and comfortable and are set in stunning tropical gardens just a short walk from the main street.

Fabulous! Everything was amazing, the room was extremely clean, the bed was super comfy and the hosts were very nice. The garden is super peaceful and quiet. The best place we stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommended!

We could not have asked for a better Yala stay.
The couple who own the property were so welcoming and the safari with the owner was perfect. He was an expert at spotting wildlife we had completely missed and knew how to stay away from the crowds of other jeeps in the park itself. He has 25 years of experience leading tours in Yala and you can really tell he has a deep knowledge of the park and the animals.
The property itself is so peaceful with monkeys, peacocks and monitor lizards roaming the grounds. The cottages themselves are spotless and well cared for. Breakfast was also delicious.

Very clean and comfortable place, welcoming owners. Beautiful garden. Good for yala safari, very good restaurant in proximity. The owner offers safari at Yala park - we couldn't taka advantage, because we were already booked one with another company. The prepared us a breakfast to go in 4:30 in the morning and let us relax in the room after thе safari. Totally recommend the place.

This is the best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka! The couple who own it are so friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with a delicious passionfruit juice which we could enjoy in the beautiful garden. It’s so peaceful here, and you can see peacocks and varan lizards roaming around. The cabana is really nice and comfortable. The bed is comfy and the AC works. The bathroom was very spacious and everything was clean. There is even a fridge in the room which was handy. We also did our safari through them and Gayan was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide! Breakfast is also great. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we will definitely come back here!

Two Huts in a lush Garden, very, very clean and relaxed. Run by a attentive and friendly Family. ? Excellent Food, just at the corner of a little Jungle River . Way from the street, Serene and shanti. Nice hideway for couples. Offer Full day Safari at Yala, which we‘ve done twice.
Never saw so many animals in Lanka. Highlight recommand. Give a Call, they pick you up. We will come back.

The house was comfortable and clean, with a nice terrace, in a beautiful garden. The host was very helpful, he arranged for us a transfer from Ella to the house, and took us for a safari tour to Yala park, where we could see leopard :) He offered a restaurant nearby, where we had a good dinner. We highly recommend!
