The breakfast was SO GOOD. The best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had so far. The owners are very friendly, as is their GIANT dog. The room itself is pretty typical. Nice and clean and comfortable. The cost for a night was a great value.

Everything was good with the stay, the staff were awesome with us, I highly recommend them.
I would suggest them not recommending the driver that took us to the Yala park, he was very reckless and drives very dangerously.

The family is very friendly and try to make us very comfortable in all respects. We are team of 8 people and we all enjoyed our stay there.
Mosquitoes in the evening time in this area are causing little uncomfortable. But rest of the areas, everything thing far exceeded our expectations. M

Best homestay experience ever!! The rooms are clean and comfortable with AC and a fan, the place is stunningly beautiful with all those plants and trees in the garden and the owners are very very friendly and welcoming. They served us breakfast and dinner you could die for, all cooked by the owner herself. They also organized a full day safari tour in Yala Nationalpark for us for a very good price and with the best guide you can get. We just had such a blast! Highly recommend, do yourself a favor and choose to stay at Yala Southern Homestay!

Perfect stay if you want to do the Yala safari.
The place is decent and clean and the host was very friendly and helpful.
I would suggest booking the safari to Yala Park via them as well. They provide a better price than what is offered online, as they know best where to book it.
They even provided a breakfast package for the safari trip as well.

Very good place to stay, property is full of trees and plants giving the feeling of resort. The place was cool amidst hot weather of yala.
Uncle and aunty were very sweet when they took extra care of my daughter to make sure we were comfortable including providing masks for yala safari
Pls check with them for booking yala safari jeep, they can surely arrange at better cost.
A lot of fruits provided for breakfast are grown there only.
Bunny and dog made friends with my daughter quickly.
Maybe something can be done for flies and one large bed and two small beds in that room was little tight.

The hosts were absolutely lovely. They made us feel welcomed, showed us around their garden, and introduced us to their adorable pets. They organized transport for us including hiring a tuk tuk which was great fun to tour independently. The location is idyllic, quiet and cool and a short distance to various sites of interest. We did a very early safari and our host got up early to pack us breakfast and serve hot tea before we got into our transport. The room was small and simple but did what we needed. Great value for the price. Wish we had stayed here longer to experience more of the Sri Lankan way of life in a smaller village.
The room was small but for the cost, the hosts more than make up for that.

The owners are one of the nicest people I’ve met in Sri Lanka! They helped us organise a safari trip very last minute, because our jeep didn’t arrive. We got delicious breakfast that was prepared with respect to our food restrictions.

The most amazing hosts with a lovely garden! So hospitable who even woke up for our morning safari to cook our breakfast (which was very appreciated as the breakfast on the safari was super late) rooms were comfortable with good aircon and clean. Breakfast post safari was unreal

The homestay is located in a beautiful garden. The room was spacious and clean. The hosts are the nicest people. They organized the safari and the private car to Ella for us. Homecooked breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and among the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Also we could try the fruit from the garden. Highly recommended!

A very quiet location with clean and fragrant rooms, a beautifully arranged breakfast and some patrons who welcomed us very well. I also wanted to say hello to Bunny, the house's white rabbit who roams freely around the yard.

The people who run the homestay are so lovely and accommodating. They allowed our late arrival from Colombo and greeted us with drinks. The breakfast is traditional and rather too much for us! The owner did her best to please our sons. We also ate here in the evening; a very nice curry banquet.
The property is close to shops but very quiet and peaceful. Lovely to wake up to the birds singing.
We stayed here as our next stop was Yala which we had already booked. It is possible to organise safaris with the Homestay.
We went to Bungala bird sanctuary in a jeep. This was an excellent start to our Sri Lanka holiday. A very helpful driver who spotted so many things. A definite must if you are a bird watcher.
There was nothing we didn’t like. The accommodation is basic but excellent value for money and comfortable.
