Exactly what it says, a tiny resort at the side of a beautiful lake. Staff are all amazing and cannot do enough for you.The food was delicious. They organised a safari for us, a rickety jeep not like the others driving around, but we had the most fun while they all looked miserable. A couple of bits need replacing that was in the photos but it doesn't ruin the stay. The pool was lovely, small and refreshing. Room was comfortable, small fridge (ours wasn't working but it was fine) kettle and sundries for tea/coffee, TV (remote was missing so we went old school ?)
Going away. The only downside was no hot water for a shower, but that is just our preference.

Stay was quite disappointed with the experience, especially with the tree house accommodation. The tree houses are not recommended – they were full of insects, lacked space, and clearly needed better maintenance. Hygiene was questionable, which made the stay uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, the AC broke down on the first night and we had to move rooms – a major inconvenience. The pool was smelly and uninviting, with stray dogs roaming around the area, which made it feel poorly maintained and unhygienic.
Overall, this place really needs to improve in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort. Would not return or recommend to others unless major improvements are made.

we moved here from another property which was not good and we're so surprised by how beautiful and quiet the setting was, the room s big and very comfortable, a great pool overlooking the lake with a huge amount of wildlife on lovely restaurant. staff were effortless at helping and as always in sri lanka very happy. Unbelievably cheap priced rooms for a massively good value stay!

The location was great for our safari in Yala which the hotel organised, it was very easy and great value for money.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with Sumilya helping us sort our dodgy Tuktuk out.
The food at the restaurant was good too, perfect place to stay for a Yala safari.

Our room was fronting the lake. We saw many colourful birds, a crocodile, an eagle and some buffalos - it was very impressive (don't worry there is a fence between the lake and the hotel)!
Loved the staff who were extremely friendly from the welcoming drink, food serving, to driving us all the way to Ella (I would definitely recommend using their taxi service as we also had optional stops to see a dam, drink coconuts and visit a famous waterfall)!
Safari was excellent. We booked a private tour with them and our guide (Nipona) was helpful passionate and very knowledgeable. Saw lots of animals and ... (solely thanks to Nipona's tracking and knowledge of the deer's alarm call) we spotted a leopard ! I'm sure you could get cheaper tours elsewhere but this was well worth the price and glad we went with them!
Can too much food be a problem? Portion sizes for the rice and noodles are very generous!
Good to wear a jumper for the 4.30 am start to the safari.
