Wonderful
Room was clean and quiet, has thick duvet.
Breakfast was my favorite part of the stay. It was literally so good. Honestly it was hard for me to adapt to Sri Lankan cuisine. So for me, it was the best meal in Sri Lanka. I cannot forget the taste of garlic toast, coconut roti, and a warm cup of tea. Also tea here is especially good, I think they use filtered or bottled water to make tea for you instead of tap water. So it means they‘re thoughtful enough to consider water quality.
My only complaint would be the bathroom.
First, the hot water didn't work well. Hot water came out intermittently, so you can do 30 sec of hot shower and endure 2 min of cold water pouring. I did my shower like an interval training.
Also the toilet was almost a nightmare. The toilet tank is faulty and the flushing power is non-existent. Waste simply doesn't go down.

The owner was the highlight for us. I was sick one day and we asked to use her rice cooker to make rice we had bought as a plain meal for my stomach. She proceeded to not only cook us the rice, but also bring it up to the room, accompanied by a bowl of carrot salad. The next two mornings she also served us tea with honey and ginger to help my stomach, and always checked in on us. She also helped us with laundry for a better price than in the city centre, and to arrange a very affordable transfer to Ella. The location is perfect for a 3 night stay, quiet outside of the centre but within walking distance to most things. We told the owner we were doing the Pekoe Trail 22 and she helped us with tips to follow the map and other amazing food suggestions. The bed was super comfortable and it had a thick comforter to keep us warm in the cool rainy days we visited.
The only downside was the shower, we couldn’t control the temperature so it would go from scorching hot to freezing cold randomly. And the toilet does not always flush so that was annoying especially as I was sick. She did show us this before and just warned us that toilet paper does not always flush right away.

Cofortable stay. Rooms and washrooms are nice. The host is friendly, cooperative and helpful. City centre is just 10 minutes walk. Highly recommendabe.

The location and the room was nice. The wifi was not working but the lady was so generous that she gave me her extra phone to use data. I enjoyed the breakfast.
You need to climb stairs to go to the room but its easy.

The Guest House owner was wonderful..
1) She brought the kids toys and English books for use during the stay
2) We managed to lose our key but they were not upset and (at our insistance) only charged a couple of $.
3) The breakfast was wonderful
4) The room and common areas were spotless and large
5) It was only 10min walk to town
