If you are searching for an authentic, sincere experience, dont look further: Romeni and her mother Grace are taking care of the cooking: breakfasts and dinners are really excellent. Prepared with so much love and care. Romeni learns you the secrets of her great meals. Her father Lal presents his (best coffee in Sri Lanka) own made coffee, starting with the Arabica tree and his delicious own made orange marmalade, starting from the tree in their garden The accommodation is very well located: a fantastic view on the city, while only away 10 minutes walk via a short cut Romeni, Grace , the aunt and Lal are a warm family and welcome their guests with so much love when we would come back to Sri Lanka, this family would be the first to visit again anyhow, we shall stay in contact via on- line cooking lessons and WhatsApp.
We only regret that we couldnt stay longer , because of our travel program.

An excellent spot. Within a 12min walk to town down a shortcut. Safe and comfortable. My accomodation was plenty spacious and could have fitted 3 people. There is a staircase leasing to the bedroom which is very steep in sections and might be challenging for anyone with mobility issue. The hosts family were lovely. The only reason I didn't give this 10 rating is that my lodge was connected to the host families house by a stairwell which can be locked from both sides. It is very safe and the hosts were respectful of noise etc during my two day stay but there isn't 100% privacy due to this connected stairwell.

The most adorable and friendly people we met in Sri Lanka. Keep in mind that in general all natives are very friendly so you can imagine. They made all efforts to make our stay pleasant. As an example, it was cold at night and they gave us hot water bag to put on the bed. The bed is comfy, they gave us great breakfast, the view of the city is nice and it is a very comfortable place in general.
They only down part of the property is that it is a bit far from the city and the access to get there is bad, especially at night when we arrived. But everything else is so good that makes up for that.

The weather was cold and rainy so apartment was very cold too. There was a small fireplace but it smoked inside.

We really enjoyed our stay at sincere wilderness. The room is really cozy and had everything we needed and the view from the room is also absolutely breathtaking. The whole family is so welcoming and kind and it immediatly felt like home. We ate dinner twice and we absolutely recommend it-we were in heaven. We even could watch them cook one evening and it was really interesting for us. The breakfast was also very delicious. The whole family wants you to have the best time and is so sweet and helpful- so we got a hot water bottle because the nights getting colder. One morning we went for a hike with the host and the trail was really nice and the view was amazing. He told us a lot about plants, Nuware Eliya etc. We absolutely recommend sincere wilderness and hope that we would come back at one time.

Wow one of the sweetest and most memorable stays we had in sri lanka! The hosts are the warmest kindest people and we instantly felt at home and welcome. The room is really cozy and lovely, with a high wooden ceiling and window with a view. Yummy cooked meals and sooo much food. The best place to stay in nuwara eliya! Would so love to come back one day.

The sweetest family and the perfect mountain oasis. This is probably the best food I had in Sri Lanka! The hosts are SO kind, and will do anything to help make your stay the best it can be. The hot water bottle for the bed is extra nice!

Lovely family and really beautiful location. Lal knew so much about the area and is always giving you great info on sri lanka, defo do a tour with him. The food was great and we had a really lovely stay. Lal even arranged to take us to the train station at crazy o'clock in the morning so we could do the return trip to Ella in one day which we really appreciated. The family make you feel so welcome, would 100% recommend staying here. I
I loved everything, but it is much colder than the rest of sri lanka so make sure you have a jumper, or ask Lal... he took us to a great place to get some warm clothes!

The food was really delicious and maybe the best so far. The family is very gentle and cared a lot. The view from the appartement was amazing, so we also had a nice time while we were in the appartement while it was raining.
Unfortunately the bed wasn't that comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay with Romeni, Lal and Grace. Truly wonderful, kind and warm hosts. The breakfast and dinner was the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. Lovely interior and good facilities. A must stay!

The house is lovely, the staff amazing, even taking care of giving as a hot water bag at night when we arrive from dinner. They gave us many recommendations for sightseeing. Breakfast was very good, we had a good rest,.
A little walk to the town. Bed sheets a little bit small, and the building could have better isolation.

One of the best homestays we had in our entire trip in Sri Lanka! The family makes you feel right at home and really goes the extra mile to make your stay the best possible. The room and bathroom are very big, there is a warm shower which is very welcome after a cold day in nuwara and the view from the room is amazing. Also both dinner and breakfast were super tasty and big. We enjoyed our time a lot here and definitely recommend this place!
Nothing negative, but better to rent a scooter when staying here as it's a bit out of the village. We rented a good scooter from the family!

We had the most wonderfull time at this questhouse. We were warmly welcommed and stayed for two nights. In the evening and morning we ate in there home, which we highly recommend! The mother made with help of the daughter dishes that were very tastfull! The best we had in Sri Lanka; without to much chili powder, and with a lot of variety. They make it fresh and will explain about it if you're interested. In short; the best stay of our journey in Sri Lanka.

Lal, Grace, Dushan and Romeni were the kindest hosts and made us feel so welcome.
Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. We slept really well and were even given hot water bottles in case we felt cold.

A super cool and cute place, in a very convenient location. Romeni helped with planning daytrips and her food is absolutely incredible - make sure you choose the dinners! The hot water bottles were also appreciated.
