Beautiful oasis..friendly owner the man was eru helpful.and kind. The rooms were comfortable and the pool was lovely. Breakfast for an additional al charge was yoghurt, fruit and eggs which was really delicious and well priced.
We loved that the owner was saving cats and dogs, but there were 17 cats close to where you ate and swam which was destracting and unhygienic

Lovely place. Wish we couldve stayed longer. He has all these cats running around that he saved from drowning, which is amazing in our opinion. They do their own thing so don’t let that stop you. The bed is very good, as well as the bathroom, airco and cleanliness. He arranged our airport tuktuk as well. Recommend to go here! Restaurants (go to Havenmoor!) and sea very close.

Such a lovely place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place itself is beautiful with all the plants and animals. Location is very good but still peaceful, away from the main road so it is quiet. Very good breakfast.

We have just had the most amazing stay at Villa Kapuru. The room was large, clean and had really good water pressure and hot water! The pool was lovely to relax in, the whole place was very clean(had people cleaning to constantly the whole time we were there) and it’s located very centrally, but tucked away down a side street so it’s very quiet.
The owner is the kindest person with a heart of gold who went above and beyond to help us-he is also passionate about helping animals which we absolutely loved. He has rescued around 250 cats and 14 dogs in total! There were many friendly cats and two dogs here-who all loved a pat but were polite enough to chill until we approached them.
The breakfast was an added bonus-very tasty and lovely to eat by the pool! They own a restaurant down the road called Centella Bistro and we ate there on our last night-I wish we went earlier because it was really nice food. Ive travelled a lot and stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is probably the best one I’ve ever stayed in. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and I would return to Sri Lanka simply to stay here again.

Spacious room overlooking the pool. Property is attractively designed in a convenient location in Negombo. Quiet.
Really weird stay, one of our worst in a few months of travelling so we have lots of more positive experiences to compare it with. Firstly the hotel is dirty and it stinks - there are lots of cats, which we knew and don’t mind as we are cat lovers, but the furniture seriously needs cleaning more to balance out the number of animals. The walls in the lobby were covered - and I mean COVERED - in thousands of flies, making it quite revolting to sit there. The property smelt really badly of damp and the walls were marked accordingly, which got worse during a bout of heavy rain. Only tiny water bottles were provided.
The worst element was that they offer a late check out for a half day fee, which we enquired about beforehand and were just told ‘is subject to availability.’ which felt pretty unfriendly compared with convos we’ve had with other hotels. When we enquired again when we arrived, we were told it was not possibly but we could have the room for an extra hour, until 12. Our flight was at 11pm so we had a long day waiting (which we appreciate is fully our choice!) but when we got back to the hotel at 3pm after lunch and asked if there was a lobby bathroom we could use, we were shown, unbelievably, back into our room which remained unoccupied.
Even more unbelievably, at 6 and then 7pm we asked again about a bathroom and were shown BACK INTO OUR ROOM for a second and third time - indeed no one was using the room for the whole time we were sat outside! We appreciate there were likely guests arriving at some point late that night (given we didn’t leave til 9pm) but this was possibly the most unhelpful and bizarre attitude we’ve encountered over the past few months and was a disappointing end to our time in Sri Lanka.
We didn’t complain, but were visibly irritated and staff simply laughed at us and then clearly went and spoke to other staff talking and pointing at us. This did at least make a change from the rest of the day when they were all asleep in the lobby(?!).
