Staff is very nice.
Especially SPA guys, Nuwan and Sandanika.
Just keep that in mind that if you use any services at the hotel, such as spa treatments or a non-prepaid breakfast, they will add a tax at the end.
I would recommend offering a wider variety of breakfast options.
Also, there were some bugs and lizards on the property bathroom.

Very enjoyable ayurvedic treatments. Relaxing environment facing the lagoon and a 100 meter pool.
General hospitality is poor and the staff is so disorganized and the fo quality is great but the selection is limited for a five star property. Overall the rooms need maintaince. Housekeeping needs uplifting.

Exciting as first time staying in a Geoffrey's Bawa hotel. Older property but well maintained. Rooms were large, with huge bathrooms. 100M pool definitely the highlight of the property (but opposite beachside infinity pool was closed). Grounds at lagoon side also fun for experiencing local flora and fauna. Especially enjoyed seeing the Red-wattled Lapwing guarding its nest and also the squirrels running up and down the tree.
Food was generally good but we made the mistake of ordering sushi (thinking if safe being a port side city) and it should totally be taken off the menu as it was inedible.
Also, spa staff allowed dry sauna booking to be made even though it wasn't working so communication could be better.

100meter pool, limits the number of turns you have to do when doing laps!!! Room was a great size, plenty of seating space plus oversized bathroom. Spa treatments were excellent, food was devine.

Amazing hotel if you want to chill, relax by the huge 100m pool or use the spa (which was one the best I had in Sri Lanka). It is very quiet perfect for relaxing before/after flight as it is close to Colombo airport, but often you can hear planes landing.
Staff is extremely nice and welcoming, although food service is sometimes slow. Food menus are okay, but beware the menu is somewhat "healthy" so missing typical hotel comfort food.
The room is really large, bed comfy. I had the large outside bathroom with both shower and a bathtub. French press coffee, real milk and water provided. There is no TV though (I did not need it at all)

Very peaceful and relaxing hotel, and an amazing spa (shoutout to Nuwan and Minoli our excellent massage therapists). Friendly and helpful staff, and great selection at the hotel restaurant. Spacious and very clean rooms - not to forget the amazingly comfortable beds! Something to be mindful about - the occasional airplane will pass over the hotel since it’s relatively close to the airport. It didn’t disturb us, but it might be something to keep in mind when booking the property.

The food offered at breakfast and dinner was well prepared, very flavourful and pleasingly presented. The choices were plentiful for any type of palate and preference.
The restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive.
The front desk team was extremely polite and professional, solving my problem immediately and with a smile.
The spa receptionist made me feel comfortable the minute I arrived and the spa therapist did an amazing job to release my muscle tensions.

Nice big pool, great hotel grounds, good location close to the airport. Restaurant staff were very polite.
The Air conditioning in the rooms do not work at All. We changed rooms and both rooms had faulty air conditioning. We didn't manage to sleep at all with the heat in the room - 25.5 degrees celcius is what the thermometer was saying . The first room was full of insects on our bed so that wasn't nice at all. The staff were very helpful to try change the bed linen and offered to change the room. But alas the second room's air conditioning didn't work either and we also had friendly gechos on the room's walls in the seconf room - I get it's a tropical environment but for a 5 star I expect better.

I was for the second time in this hotel. It's a splendid place, very relaxing with a beautiful garden, absolutely lovely employes , difficult to find ciritical points.
The only point of criticism is the service at the pool. Depending on who's on duty, there's simply no one there for extended periods.
