It’s a very convenient location yet quiet . The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. There is a kitchen available and a sofa to relax . The host and staff are very accommodating and helpful.

The staff and hosts were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which immediately made us feel welcome. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the property was excellent.
The location is very good, with many nice restaurants within a short walking distance. It’s ideal if you want to stay close to the beach and dining options. The only small note is that the house is located on a very narrow street, which can be a bit challenging for drivers when entering or exiting — but this didn’t affect our stay.
Breakfast was really good and nicely prepared.
We booked this accommodation upon our arrival in Sri Lanka and had such a positive first impression that we decided to stay here again for our last night before heading to the airport. When something works well, there’s no reason to change it — and this place truly did.

Breakfast doesn't start until 8am. Owner prepared egg sandwich and juice to go. When I picked up the food bag, the egg sandwich was still hot. just wow

This is my second stay in Fun Whales, It was good as the First time stay, Superb squeaky clean room and washroom. The environment was quiet and contemplative yet few yards to the main road and town hustle. I will definitely keep on coming back on all my Negombo stays.
Nothing, Everything is Absolutely fantastic. At this price point this property has exceeded my expectations, not only once but twice. Keep it up fun whales, I will keep on coming back during my travels for sure.

In an excellent location with a short walk to many fine restaurants. Exceptionally clean spacious room, with AC and ceiling fan, kettle, fridge. A perfect place to rest for a few days after a long flight. Airport pickup was great as well. Owner is friendly and easy to talk to. Breakfasts was large and tasty ( especially the string hoppers !! )
The weak WIFI was problematic , but that would be my only complaint.

We stayed at the funwhales for a night before our flight. The room was simple and nice. The hotel is located very close to the beach. People are nice and can arrange a drop at the airport.
The air-condition unit in our room was struggling to cope with the heat as it probably needed maintenance.

I really enjoyed this place. Room was big and clean. And quite. There was air condition and big fan on a ceiling. In addition I had an kettle and refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast were tasty (simple but filling). For dessert I had big glass of juice and some juicy fruits.
The owners and stuff were really nice and willing to help you.
You can exchange dolars on the spot, and if you are interested in massage in Jasmin Villa Ayuverda Resort (1 hour, whole body 5000 lkr) you can get transportation by tuk tuk for free.
I would definitelly stayed there again.
(You can fix the light switch in the bathroom because it keeps breaking down and improve the internet because I've lost the signal more than once)
