The staff, especially Manager was professional and kind, we truly appreciated their excellent service. Wow wow wow! breakfast, to rooms. Where do I start. A must stay! Special thanks to all at Emel, who was carrying my bags, serve us all areas. (they weren’t light!)
Had a great breakfast – tasty food and outstanding service. Later enjoyed the pool, we had a Lion beer which was cool.
Very nice place for family and friends nice staff makes the stay extra nice.. close to the main road. The food was very good. Breakfast is above expectations. I highly recommend this hotel. Very large well cleaned room.

This is a lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Lankan Breakfast is delicious and as the hotel is close to the Negombo city it is quiet and relaxing. Special thanks to Nilan for his help and advice about the morning visit to Fish Market
Our stay at the Emel Hotel was great! We enjoyed the friendliness of the all the staff, very comfortable room, and you can walk to many restaurants including fast food. The comfortable seating. We will look forward to returning again one day!
Best for me was The Fortress near Galle. So stunning, I expected to see film stars and royalty! Food was delicious, room was amazing, grounds and beach were beautiful.
Big bed, beautiful pool, outdoor seating and excellence service. Emel was our favorite hotel during our entire two week visit to Sri Lanka. From the moment my two adult daughters, Erik and I arrived, we fell in love with the staff and the relaxed, chill vibe.

I went to srilanka with my partner, we reached late at night so instead of staying at the airport we asked fellow passenger for advice & asked him to close place, near the airport. So I booked hostel first. Trust me, it was a lovely experience. People there are so hospitable. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was simple but very tasty. They made special arrangements for us to serve string hoppers too. Everything was up to the mark. I would give 5 stars to this place.
Really helpful staff and excellent location. Wi-Fi great. I actually had an accident there (my own fault) and the manager rushed out up purchase plasters for me, for which I was very appreciative. Thanks to all staff, would definitely return if in Lanka again.

Our First Anniversary stay was a wonderful treat, featuring an environmentally friendly room near the swimming pool, a large-sized bed, and all the necessary amenities.
Everything was closed since it is in a town, Ayurvedic shops, fast food outlets… Breakfast I had was eggs & toast, Lankan Option available as well. The coffee and juices were good to Finnish taste, too.
I will definitely come for a longer stay, it is very easy to start & finish your tour. Very economical.

Rooms are very Small and dirty...This is not a hotel.. old big house....full of mosquitos fly's Cockroaches everywhere... Filthy.... disgusting one of the worst places on Earth... Please Avoid at once...

Really lovely staff (Tharindu and Nimal) who had many recommendations and looked after us. They provided an amazing breakfast, introduced us to many local fruits and I cannot fault the food or the service.
The hotel is not near places to eat. Had to travel into Negombo for food. The hotel does have a restaurant although due to ready made plans we did not eat there.

Wonderful
The staff and owner (Tharindu and Nimal) were extraordinary helpful and friendly. The pool was clean and very nice to cool down. The breakfast was good and we recommend to have lunch / dinner at the accommodation. It was really delicious. The room itself has a big size with two big beds. Moreover it had access to the balcony which can be used by any guest. The railway station is only a few minutes by feet away.

Magnificent location
We met Nemal. A kind and discreet host. The place is very pretty and above all very quiet. The pool was very pleasant and accessible throughout our stay.
The breakfasts were very good and copious.
Our room was large enough for two and the bed very comfortable.

very calm and good privacy. very clean room and spacious washroom.
The host at the hotel, Chandana was very helpful and always assisted us immediately.
He Helped to clean the pool in the morning before we get in also.
Nice place for a family stay and or a small group stay.

The hotel is wonderful! Breakfast options are either European or local. Very tasty curry with rice, fruit mix and fruit, sweet pancakes. We are thrilled! Manager Chandane is a wonderful person, he helped us in everything, gave us a lot of information, even went with us to the train station to put us on the bus we needed. Thank you! The territory and the hotel are very clean, the girls clean well every day. The pool is two-level, suitable for both children and adults, large. It's a little far from the main highway, but it's a 5-minute walk to the bus stop.
There is no generator, but Chandane gave us a big flashlight, which helped a lot.

We spent 2 amazing weeks in this hotel. During our stay staff was extremely helpful and careful. Their hospitality really impressive and makes you feel like you just staying at friends home. Manager Chandana teached us a lot about Sri Lanka culture, food, suggested different interesting places around Negombo, and even helped us to visit them. Still hope to visit again later and go to fishing with him. Hotel looks cute and suitable for long stays. Additionally, it has a pool, which is really nice in such hot season (always).
