We had an amazing stay at Elegant Hamlets Home Stay, an absolute true gem with serene surroundings for relaxing, extremely modern, spacious and built to Western and European standards, the Hosts Sherine and Chamara are extremely friendly and helpful and makes you feel welcome and right at home.
The jetted pool is nothing short of your own private little oasis, the home meals are absolutely delightful, the facilities are outstanding and include a well equipped beautiful outdoor kitchen area beside the villa, water, coffee and tea facilities are readily available in the villa. While we had a dialog tourist phone plan, we found the in house wifi to be very fast and reliable.This was our favourite homestay in Sri Lanka and we highly recommend this Homestay. Side note; google street view map is outdated, the area and roads are very good and built up, tuk tuk’s and PickMe are readily available. A big thanks and gratitude to our wonderful hosts! We had an extraordinary stay at Elegant Hamlets Home Stay. The accommodation is one large A framed villa that is set in a beautiful and peaceful garden. Privacy is key!!!! Even though you are right beside the owners in their own house, your villa faces away from the owners' property and is in its own yard. Step out into your private garden and enjoy your very own small plunge pool... perfect for those hot and humid Sri Lankan days and nights. The pool area also has numerous options for seating and enjoying the pool area. Inside, the villa certainly exudes its own charm, with an upstairs mezzanine containing 2 single beds. We were met with a cool, refreshing juice and indulged in breakfast each morning which was very tasty. Our tuk tuk was happily parked under the covered carport and the detached kitchen area, containing everything you need to do your own cooking OR a great place to indulge in breakfast, was an added bonus. Overall, the facilities offered were outstanding, as were our hosts. This was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka!!

We loved the tranquil garden, beautiful modern clean architectural “A” frame guest house and separate dining pavilion. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were exquisite Sri Lankan cuisine. The plunge pool was welcome to cool in before dinner and breakfast. Comfiest beds and pillows in Sri Lanka! We will come again!

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay. The apartment is cozy, and the pool access with a private area and garden adds to the charm. It’s a peaceful and comfortable place.
The hosts, Nerantha and his wife, are fantastic, they make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The food is delicious, prepared and served with love and passion.

Very nice and attentive host. Despite the pouring rain, he welcomed us in a friendly and very helpful manner. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and served in a small pavilion. The pool is small but it is enough to cool off in.

This looked too good to be true I nearly didn’t choose it. And it was just what my heart and soul needed. Lying outside alone in nature with the sound of beautiful birds and swishing coconut trees, with tropical butterflies flitting around. The most lovely hosts and the most wonderful food cooked just for me. The love they put into everything is so wonderful.

This stylish, charming homestay is exceptional, from its beautiful design and garden ( with wonderful birdsong) to the conviviality of our delightful host and hostess who served delicious, homemade food. Nerantha was very helpful too when we had a problem with the tuk tuk.

This place is paradise. 10/10 on everything. We kept being surprised, by even the smallest things in the private house. It is fabulous and clean, there are perfect towels, good shower everything is clean and nice. On top of this the hosts are so nice. We had a home cooked meal which was the best food we ate in Sri Lanka and such nice welcome and tips and information for the rest of our trip. Thank you both for the wonderfull stay!

A hidden paradise surrounded by greenary. Spotless clean luxury chalet with a private pool with jacuzzi. Super friendly host & delicious food. Ideal place to spend some quality time with privacy away from busy routine life. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended
Location is bit away from the main city. But its worth traveling that few kilometers to reach this amazing place. You wont regret it for sure

Amazing place to stay if you need to stop between Colombo & Wilpattu. Sherrie & Chamara are amazing people. The room was beautiful, clean, modern and spacious with a second bed on a mezzanine. Dinner was amazing the hosts even showed us how they prepared the meal. Breakfast was also a great experience and yummy!
The accommodation is not near a town, but for us it was well worth it the detour.

Beautiful, natural, calm surroundings and accommodation was large (X2 large beds) and had everything needed.
Family were very friendly, helpful and fun
The journey from the airport is an hour if there's no traffic .. but it's worth it
