We stayed at Angel Inn Guest House for one night at the beginning of our trip in Sri Lanka, and one night at the end just before flying out. The guest house is very conveniently located not far from the airport, very close to the sea and many restaurants/shops in Negombo. The rooms are spacious, clean and high standard. We’ve had a delicious local breakfast and had our own kettle to make tea/coffee. Marcus, the owner, and his family are so friendly and made us feel right at home. We even got to leave some of our luggage at their place during our one month trip! Excellent experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Negombo or looking for a convenient location to stay at close to the airport.

Great location close to all amenities, a few steps to the beach, and within walking distance to the fish market. The owners are friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and very clean.
For some reason, the location on Google maps is wrong. I attached a screenshot with a pin (circled) that shows the actual location.

Everything about this place was wonderful! The location is perfect—just a one-minute walk from a beautiful beach. The room was exceptionally clean, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even offered me a late checkout for a small extra fee, which was a huge help since I had to leave for the airport at 3:00 PM. I truly appreciated their hospitality and attention to detail. Just 20 minute tuck tuck drive away from airport.

This is a clean and comfortable guest house in a very good location for the beach, for shops and restaurants and it's an easy journey from the airport. There are very nice areas for outside seating. There is hot water in the sink - which is very unusual in Sri Lanka - and in the shower. There is a mop for keeping the bathroom dry which is very helpful. The staff are very helpful.
It would be nice to have a kettle in the room.

This is the perfect stay if you’re flying in and need to stay somewhere close to the airport. Not only did they organise an airport pickup for me at 1am (even when my flight was delayed) they welcomed me into my room with a cold bottle of water. The staff are very lovely and I felt very safe the whole time as a female solo traveller.
The breakfast was also great and highly recommend getting it if you’re jet-lagged and don’t feel like making a decision!
The owner also drove me to the ATM to get rupees which was very nice.
