We stayed for two nights at Alexandra Family Villa and had a wonderful experience. The place was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived.
The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were always ready to help and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The environment was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day.
We were four people staying together in one room, and it was comfortable for all of us. We truly enjoyed our time there and had a very positive feeling during our stay.
There is also a café on-site where we had both breakfast and dinner. Everything was very delicious, and we definitely recommend trying it during your stay.

Very friendly host
It is very basic to say the least. I expected something much better seeing all glowing reviews.
The property is in poor condition, rooms too. When we arrived we saw someone’s underwear and socks drying all around. Mosquito net is hanged poorly, lays on your face when you sleep. Luckily we only stayed here for one night before flight.
The owner also charges premium to bring you to the airport 4000 rupees while we called a regular taxi for 1000.

The homestay is the perfect place to recover from the flight to Sri Lanka and start your journey. Jude and his family helped us with everything and we were also able to hire a tuktuk. Close to the beach and great restaurants on top. The food at the homestay was also great. Can be recommended 100%.

We stayed in the villa for the first and last night of our trip and were very satisfied. Very nice family who looked after us very well. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We were also able to store our bike cases there and clean our bikes there at the end. The family kindly organized the transfer to and from the airport for us. We can highly recommend the Sir Lanka breakfast there! Many thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful stay. The owners were so helpful, organising trips for us and cooking beautiful Sri Lankan food. They could not have been more helpful and kind. The homestay is in a lovely quiet street, walking distance from the beach and tourist area. Thoroughly recommend.

The host family was incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was very tasty and affordable – I thoroughly enjoyed it! The room was spotless, and I was impressed by the cleanliness. What stood out most was that they allowed me to check in early so I could rest and recover from my jetlag. They even apologized for not being able to clean as thoroughly as usual because of my early check-in, but honestly, I couldn’t imagine how the room could have been any cleaner!
Additionally, the neighborhood felt very safe to me as a solo female traveler. I had no concerns walking around alone even in the dark. The beach as well as supermarkets, shops and restaurants are in walking distance, so it's a great place to spend a few relaxing beach days.
There’s really only one small downside: from the pictures online I got the impression that the property was directly on the beach. But it's just a short walk, so overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Very nice accommodation, close to the sea. Super friendly owners who invited us to a family celebration, which was an amazing experience on our last day in Sri Lanka. Excellent breakfast. The airport transfer at night (which I was a bit worried about) went smoothly, everything was precise and on time. Thank you so much once again! We had a wonderful time staying with you.
